Matt and Foggy are PLATONIC soulmates in my brain, so I would prefer to not see them hook up.

Matt/Karen is inevitable and I am not looking forward to it. Charlie Cox has mentioned it, anyone who has read issue one of Daredevil knows about it, and even though Netflix Karen is way better than comics Karen ever was, I totally fucking hate her. She is emotional vampire who will drain the living shit out of Matt and then she will probably die.

...Sorry, I just have strong feelings about her. I mean, she really is terrible. She ruins Ben's life, Wesley's life, Fisk's MOTHERS's life, and stomps all over everyone else's plots because they're not important to her.

I would be pretty cool with a Foggy/Karen/Matt pairing though. Not a rivalry, a poly relationship. TV probably isn't ready for it, but the average New Yorker is, because all of my friends seem to be in one.

Are you saying she was wrong to kill Wesley? O_o

I like Wesley, but he was not a good guy.

I'm not saying it wasn't justified, but she already has some notches on her belt of "doing terrible things this season." I'll give her a pass on Wesley, but she got herself into that one, being all stupid about her own safety after being attacked about a bajillion times.

Following that logic, Wesley's death was his own fault for being stupid enough to put that loaded gun on the table. And for working for a crime boss in the first place.

Okay, she gets a pass on Wesley. But not for anything else.

not to sound rude, but you do understand that a lot of the unpleasant stuff she does in the season is stuff typical of a reporter digging for clues? like, you do enough rooting around, you find stuff like fisk's mother. and you cause people trouble.

like, you can call karen stupid about her own safety but she's extremely similar to matt in that she gets in way over her head. in fact, so does foggy -- he was the one that decided to take elena cardenas' case, and he ended up paying for it.

just...all of these characters made mistakes, okay? and ben knew going into this that it was high risk. not to say he should have died for it (i think the writers killing him off was sloppy and unnecessary) but to blame karen for "ruining his life"?....really?

Thank you. That Karen hate post was bugging me (emotional vampire? what?) but I couldn't really articulate a response.

I do think that Karen was wrong to bring Ben to Fisk's mom without letting him know that's where they were going, but even a big mistake like that doesn't make her a monster.

Right? Some of the Karen fans are spending time here talking her up by shooting down all the other characters and some of the Karen haters are spending a lot of time trying to vilify every one of her choices. It's gotten old already, ugh.

All that happened to Mama Fisk was that she had to be moved out of her assisted living facility.

Sure, Karen discovering her may have put the woman in danger of Fisk's enemies, but that's Fisk's fault for making those enemies in the first place. Any danger that his mom was in was his fault, not Karen's.

Wait, who is unimportant to her? Fisk and Wesley? Why should they be important to her? They killed her coworker, framed her and tried to have her killed. If you wanna talk about ruined lives, Karen had hers ruined pretty terribly, and she's still reeling from the trauma of it all through season 1.

Or are you saying that other characters aren't important to her? If so, who? Matt, Foggy, Elena? If you meant them, you're just plain wrong, because they are all very obviously important to her.

God love you for taking on this observation with such a clinical response. You're doing the lord's work with more patience than I could afford.
