Sorry, I've never actually had this happen to me. Probably because I've only ever had one prompt partially filled.
But as an author: Give minimal feedback? I *have* had this happen to me. I got a "I'm so excited that you filled my prompt! I'll be back to review later!" that never had a follow-through. Yeah, that's definitely damning with faint praise from the OP. Message received. (The other commenters who loved my stuff sure cushioned that blow, though.)
You can be a little less blunt than that OP about it, though. Surely there's *something* you liked about the fill. A detail about Fisk's view of the world that the author included? A cute reference to the larger Marvel universe? Some good meta for the show that you haven't seen in other fics? Honestly, it's probably a lot like a parent admiring a kid's artwork of crayon scribblings sometimes, and I think I've probably gotten that kind of review from OPs too, but they were tactful enough about it that I didn't realize it. (Well, except maybe for the one that was more of a derailment, and I did label that as a not-fill and keep it out of the Completed post. That OP had absolutely no obligation to me, is what I'm saying.)
And YKINMKATO applies to the OP, too, so feel free to drop out and explain why, if you're getting a 50-part fill. Just say, "I really like this and this, but, you know, the character of Wesley just squicks me out so I can't read any more of this." I don't think I've ever seen a multi-part fill that didn't have multiple people commenting, anyhow, so everybody else will hopefully have fun continuing without you.
(And you'll hopefully get more and better advice from other people. It's not like I'm a long-established kinkmeme Miss Manners, here. I hate how my posts always look like pronouncements from on high, and I can't figure out how to change that.)
