Defenders-only Discussion Post

This post is for prompts involving everyone in Netflix's The Defenders! Crossovers between anyone in the four individual shows should go here. Prompts only including characters from one show should still go on the relevant show prompt post.

  2. All comments must be anon. If you would like to be politely banned to avoid anon-failing, leave a logged-in comment on the mod post or pm the mod account.
  
  
  3. Subject lines should only be changed if you're posting a prompt or a fill (indicators like OP or Author!Anon should go in the body of the comment).
  
  
  4. RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2017 TV show in some way.
  
  
  5. Drop a comment on the mod post if you have any questions or problems.

I'm confused by this prompt. Danny was in the process of actively overriding his teammate's wishes in that scene in Defenders, he was outvoted and didn't care for majority rule, which is why he was tied into the chair. But ignoring or overriding people constantly throughout all of IF and then Defenders is Classic Danny. Claire has spent time with Classic Danny and busted him down for a lot of the same so I'm not sure how this prompt works unless Claire is a hypocrite?

One of the best things that came out of Defenders for me was the realization that Danny respects Matt way more than I thought he ever would, and I hope we get to see that continue once Matt's back from the dead. If Matt was dying and Danny could heal him, of course Danny would do it with or without Matt's consent. Especially since they've already lost him once, they're all going to have DeadMatt!PTSD. I'd pay to see Danny healing a dying Matt for sure.

None of these prompt requests seem particularly in-character, so it's not really something worth questioning the likelihood of.

I think OP meant the act they took of taking him out of the game seemed more than a little nonconsensual.

ayrt tbh the phrasing threw me off, too. When I first read it I thought they were saying 'when Matt tries to refuse Danny's offer of healing' as though it happened on the show and I thought I'd missed it! Took me a minute to figure out Matt being hurt and needing healing is part of the prompt.

Thanks for the help anyway, nonnie. You're not wrong about the ooc prompting. I wish them luck on a fill.

Lol. "I'm so confused as to why Claire would be upset that her friends beat and tied up another one of her friends! :0" Please fucking save it. Passive-aggression confusion is the lamest of passive-aggressive bitchery -_- You're probably the same anti-Danny troll from all over this kink meme, right? Well here's a cool fact for you: kidnapping is frowned upon even if you personally don't like the person being kidnapped. That's a tough fact, I know, but I still think Claire at her friends siding with a creepy old guy and helping him kidnap Danny.
