Out of all his senses, taste doesn't seem to get much love in fanfic, and especially not as something that's useful for Daredeviling. So give me Matt sticking something in his mouth that does not belong in his mouth in order to hyper-taste it. Maybe he's trying to identify a substance, or looking for minute traces of evidence. Maybe he can do the Sherlock Holmes thing where he can tell apart dirt from different neighborhoods or the brand of a cigarette by the ash it leaves behind.

So it really, really annoyed me that Matt and Claire barely said two words to each other during the show. Like...she mentions all her other super powered friends to each other (gets Luke and Danny to meet) but she doesn't mention her Matt at all? Was this her way of trying to keep him out of the fight with the Hand? (Did she know he had quit after the mess with them last season and did she want to avoid dragging him back?).

They barely acknowledged each other while in the same scenes. Luke and Jessica had some lovely scenes acknowledging their past relationship and moving forward into a new one but Claire and Matt got nothing. I'm not asking for something that discounts Luke/Claire. I'm just asking for something to fill in the blanks because they literally seemed like they had never even met and it irked me.

So Luke read Danny the riot act about his privilege in Defenders.

But what if Danny is so fixated on Matt being blind in the Chinese Restaurant because that's when he really realizes how little being "The Immortal Iron Fist" is worth, really, and how little he's done with all of his advantages.

What if Matt makes him feel extremely inadequate? Matt's blind, but he's a better fighter than Danny and unlike Luke or Jess he fights in a style similar to Danny's. Matt was also supposed to be trained under Stick to actually serve Kun Lun and the Iron Fist, and Danny isn't exactly feeling like an Iron Fist worthy of being served, especially by someone like Matt.

Maybe Danny tries to literally live Matt's life to feel connected to him and like less of a failure himself - being the one to memorialize and bury Stick, sleeping in Matt's apartment, funding a legal clinic in Matt's name, getting way too invested - until finally Colleen, the other Defenders, or Foggy and Karen have to talk him down from the crazy of that.

I'd love to read a fic about Danny trying to be Matt a bit too literally to escape having to face his own privilege and his own failures, and under the weight of all the trauma he clearly hasn't properly dealt with.

So at some point, in support of of accessibility, Foggy submitted his voice for general use towards either a base/template for accessibility software development or for any of the currently available screen reader tech.

Matt found Foggy's voice as an available option but because of the 'uncanny valley' effect; it's almost but not quite right. Some of the rhythms are just that little bit wrong, the emotion and intensity isn't there at times when it should be and it's a pale shadow compared to just speaking to Foggy himself. So he doesn't use it.

Except then they have The Argument and escalating drama means that he doesn't get to hear Foggy speak to him for AGES. It's better than nothing.

...and then Foggy finds out.

Prompt: Ok, just re-read a fill where Matt's apartment is haunted by some evil entity, so, I thought, "Why not have his place be haunted by a NICE ghost?"
You know...one that takes a shine this new blind tenant, and starts to do nice things for him, trying to help (which of course freaks Matt out at 1st, but how long does it take for him to realize its not a threat?) And it eventually gets to the point where this ghost is so fond of Matt, it ends up filling a guardian role.

(a/n: This is what I'd consider a partial fill, because nobody really dies, but there *is* a friendly ghost. Of sorts.)
