So I filled my own prompt because I just really wanted to see this one written and contribute some Ben Urich fic to the world.

What if at his wake, there's a scrapbook or pinned up copies of all of his best reporting over the years, and Karen realizes as she looks through it that he wrote several stories on Matt, basically starting with the story of the kid blinded by the accident, up through his dad's murder, his dad's murder investigation, etc. even including human interest pieces following up on Matt starting college, etc. Maybe Ben even had a hand in jailing the mob guys who killed Matt's dad or fixed his fights.

And she realizes that Matt must have known Ben for YEARS! They did not just meet when Karen went to him following the Union Allied story. Cue Karen talking to Matt about it and him sharing Ben stories with her about what a great reporter he was, and Matt just losing it completely thinking about his death at Fisk's hands.

While it's summer for most of the world, my part of it is deep in winter. And it's freezing. So could I have any characters with warm winter snuggling? Drinks by the fire? Bundling up in blankets?

Ok so maybe the avengers are having an off day, maybe they were so busy bickering they got caught off guard, maybe the bad guy just had a really good plan. However it happened they are now all locked in a basement in hells kitchen by a criminal organisation, and they can't get themselves out.

Matt has been investigating the organisation for other reasons, breaks in, and finds the avengers all locked in a cell, and he's like "Seriously, rescuing kids and trafficking victims is one thing but you guys are grown ass superheroes, do you really need me to break you out." and they''re all like "Yes, please help us", and then Matt just can't stop laughing long enough to unlock the cell, and they all promise him undying grattitude and free drinks forever if he gets them out. Which he does, eventually.

In the past people have told Foggy that he is too loud in bed or the noises he makes aren't sexy or they sound like Foggy isn't enjoying what is happening. So he kind of tries to stop himself from making too much noise. So when Matt and him get together and finally decided they are ready to have sex, Foggy is really nervous what Matt is going to say if he makes the "wrong" kind of noises in bedroom so he tries not to.

So it's established that Brett and Foggy are childhood frenemies, the kind that snipe and banter, but ultimately care about each other deep down (okay, maybe not that deep).

And so when Brett hears (or witnesses) Foggy hanging around the vigilante - as, you know, "legal counsel" - he's a bit concerned. But knowing that if he tried warning Foggy he would sputter and lie and not take his well-meaning advice, Brett realizes there's no other choice.

Thus, the next time Daredevil hands him over some hog-tired criminal, Brett finds himself giving the vigilante the shovel talk, more or less.

In 2012, Matt and Foggy would have just been finishing their second year at Columbia or starting their third, so where were they when the aliens invaded? In class? Studying for exams? Home for the summer? Just hanging out getting coffee?

It’s more likely than not that a lot of the corrupt police officers in Hell’s Kitchen benefited from Fisk paying them off to work for him. And that not all of them would have been rooted out in the station purge at the end of season 1. So if they didn’t have a problem with Daredevil before, they definitely have one now. And they’re looking to settle it the old fashioned way (or alternatively, get enough evidence on him/frame him with enough of the damage to Hell’s Kitchen that it could discredit Fisk’s trial). Trouble is, no one can find him.

Good thing that that small legal firm that pretty much worked with Daredevil to get Hoffman is still around. Maybe it’s time to ask them a few questions. And if they get hurt in police custody, well, they can just claim it was self-defence. No one’s going to believe otherwise.
They decide to grab Nelson. They figure the secretary won’t be high up enough to know anything useful, and that even if the blind one is in on it, they’ll save him as a backup because they’d rather information that might tell them who Daredevil is, and visual clues would be really helpful. So they arrest him on some trumped up charges, and get him in one of the interview rooms.

They’ve got 24 hours before they are legally required to release him. That should be long enough to get all the answers they need.
