Prompt:

One night when Claire's trying to patch Matt up he's seriously upset for whichever reason and not cooperating. Before he hurts her or himself ever further, Claire desperately tries to find something to help and ends up grabbing a teddy bear she accidentally never gave to a hospital toy drive and shoving it into his arms.

It's soft, and nice to squeeze, and Matt calms down quickly and ends up getting really attached to the teddy bear, using it as a comfort object.

Matt's not the type of person who spends time thinking 'what would my dad do and think about X if he were here'. Jack Murdock is not here, so that's counterproductive. But Foggy Nelson is pretty much the most important person in Matt's life, and Matt cannot help but wonder what his dad's opinion of Foggy would be.

Anons, give me Five Things Jack Murdock Would Say About Foggy Nelson If He Were Alive, According to Matt Murdock. Would Jack approve of Foggy? Would he like him? Does Matt ever end up fighting about Foggy with what amounts to an imagined version of his father?

Asuming that at least a few heroes know Matt's name and face, but not much else because he is kind of a loner and usually serious.

So when he gets injured and brought to Stark tower he is quiet but ok until someone mentions he was on TV with the avengers. Then he is all 'Oh no, HE will know.'

Cue Foggy Nelson storming Stark Tower 'YOU HAD ALREADY THREE BROKEN RIBS WHAT THE HELL MATT!"

++If Foggy really storms in because he knows most people who work in the tower (Marcy works in legal and introduced Foggy to a few friends and Foggy is the god of sex when frustrated about Matt... and that happens often)

Avengers meet Matt, first as Daredevil, then as Matt, and for a while, they're all kind of cold to him, and avoid him when they can, because they think it's shameful that he's pretending to be a blind man.
Captain America vocalizes this.

Matt knows what they think and basically decides 'Screw Them'

Then he gets hurt one of the few times they get involved with one of his fights, and Bruce checks him for a concussion and they realize
"Oh fuck, he's actually fucking blind"

Bonus points if Foggy chews them out when he learns how they've been treating Matt.

Prompt: Some guys see Matt at the college pub or wherever and decide it's a great idea to drug him and have their way with him. The drugs mess with Matt's senses so he ends up not being able to fend anyone off or otherwise take care of himself. Doesn't have to include an actual rape scene (maybe Foggy comes to Matt's rescue?) but feel free to go in whatever direction you like!

Prompt:

So the old ladies at Matt's church decide to play matchmaker for Matt because "that nice blind boy deserves some happiness" since he always looks so sad/serious at Sunday service. The problem is every time they throw a woman his way he's always politely disinterested and they "realize" he must be gay (which doesn't matter to them, who cares what the church's stance is on on; they're very progressive old ladies) and continue to play matchmaker but...with who? Maybe that nice man who runs the butcher shop down the street? The one who never gives them a bad cut of meat?

Enter Butcher!Foggy, who's very alarmed at all the old ladies who come by his store every day and who seem to be hitting on him! (only not, they're just trying to find out if a) he's single and b) if he's gay).

OP elaborated thusly: Because it's freaking adorable and the way Foggy's face lights up every time Matt offers one I can't.

prompt: Matt hates himself so much that by now it's become a fact of life for him. "Sky's blue, grass is green, Matt Murdock is an irredeemable sack of shit, the Pope is Catholic."

Someone comes along and sweeps him off his feet. Matt is timid and wary and disbelieving because he thinks he's not worth loving, and this person probably just feels bad for him and is humoring him. Maybe he says yes to everything because he doesn't want to be unnecessarily difficult; maybe he pushes the other person away. He really REALLY likes them but takes that as a sign of weakness.

Eventually the other person finds out and just loves the shit out of him, trying to get him to trust them and believe he's good.

Prompt: In the series, Foggy seems to be very extroverted -- he's pretty much always talking, knows all the patrons in the bar, and is very rarely alone. Matt, on the other hand, comes off as an introvert. How did that difference affect the early days of their friendship? Did Foggy just not get that Matt needed time alone? Prompt: In the Marvel universe, vampires are only affected by religious symbols like crosses if the person wielding them truly has faith in them. In one issue of the X-Men Kitty Pryde once used a Star of David on a vamp. So being a devout Catholic, Matt would be able to use crosses or holy water against any fanged menaces plaguing Hell's Kitchen.

Prompt: Matt (and sometimes Foggy) find themselves in the midst of an attack or situation which the Avengers are participating. The Avengers see 'blind guy' and make an effort to go out of their way to save him.

Yeah, he gets it but it gets really irritating when it's a very low key affair and they make sure to get him to safety in very obvious showy ways. It's very condescending at times too, telling Foggy to make sure to keep him out of danger.

It gets to the point where Matt gets fed up, has Foggy hold his cane and glasses and beats the shit out of the enemy of week.

Prompt -So it's 2057 and Matt's getting old. His injuries are catching up to him and he's just slowing down too much even with everything he learned from Stick and his family's legendary constitution.

Just once he's too slow and the wound is actually fatal. Matt dies. There is a funeral and a wake and Claire, Brett, Karen and Foggy get absolutely plastered and the other superheroes stand in uncomfortable clumps off to the side as the old ladies from his church weep into their handkerchiefs, berating his foolish kindness.

A week later Matt wakes up in his own apartment, 32 years old again, with a being (Angel? Demon?) standing over him informing him that his mission is not yet complete.

He watches everyone he knows and loves grow old and die. Matt dies a second time. Wakes up young again. and again. and again. He's not allowed to stay dead, not allowed to give up his lifework as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, even when that name's long forgotten.

Prompt: Random Avengers/Thor crossover, Matt is the only person not fooled by Loki's illusionary doubles, and the Avengers plus Loki all go WTF. Loki probably figures out Matt's blind, but making the illusions perfect in sight, sound, wind currents, etc. is a lot of hassle.

So one day, thanks to running late and having to stop by the dry cleaners to pick up his suit, Foggy comes to work wearing a Captain America t-shirt. And, you know, it's not that he's a huge fan of any of the Avengers or anything but, c'mon, it's Captain America and if he had to pick a favorite Avenger than Cap would probably be it and Karen basically teases the hell out of him for it - not mean-spiritedly, of course, because she may or may not have some kick ass Black Widow undies she may or may not wear when she wants to feel kick ass and awesome.

Cue Matt walking in mid-tease and asking what's going on and Karen tells him all about Foggy wearing a Captain America t-shirt and how he's obvious Foggy's favorite. And, okay, Matt's not jealous, all right he's not. So what if he maybe wanted to be Foggy's favorite superhero. Shut up, he's not talking about this...
