"So, I have this feeling that Marci and Matt don't really like each other - like at all - and that's the reason Marci and Foggy initially broke up, because Foggy isn't going to date someone who can't get along with his bro.

Except that they started doing the wild thing again after Foggy found out about Matt's Daredeviling. So what if it's a pattern? What if this has happened more than once? I want the fic where Foggy (subconsciously or consciously, up to you) punishes Matt by taking things up with Marci, and then breaks things off again when he and Matt smooth things over. And I want to see Marci call him out on it. For instance, after episode thirteen, Foggy comes over to her apartment and they do the do, and then after, she's like, "That was really something, Foggy, which I guess is good, since it won't be happening again for a while."

And Foggy's just like, "What? What makes you say that?"

"Well, you and Murdock have worked out whatever was going on with you this time, so you don't need me anymore."

And Foggy doesn't even know what to say, because dammit, she's right. And also dangerously close to figuring out exactly why he equates having sex with someone as a way to punish his best friend.

Meanwhile, Matt knows exactly what's going on, and feels hurt by it, but he's used to it, and by now is just hoping at some point Foggy will get a clue and end this awful cycle they're caught in."

2. So in the comics, Matt has struggled with depression, and I think you can see elements of that in the show. Karen's mental health in the show is going through a rough patch too ofc, especially after the shooting and Ben. I'd like to see them awkwardly (and maybe on Matt's part with a little reluctance) trying their hardest to deal with it together, because as much as they both love Foggy there's stuff you only reallly "get" when you go through it. Bonus if Karen knows or learns about Daredevil.

Prompt: so pre-vanessa fisk used to fairly regularly tie wesley to his bed and reduce him to a whining, crying mess. naturally, fisk tells vanessa about this because he feels its the right thing to do. he's kind of surprised when she asks if she can join in though.

Due to circumstances Matt is in a situation where he has to reveal his abilities to save himself and others. To make things worse there are one or two other 'heroes' there. The result is no one believing he's blind and being shamed until part of the escape involved managing a touch screen. This is when Foggy steps up and helps his friend, no questions asked. When Matt refuses to leave until everyone else is out, Foggy stays.

No one is sure what is going on. Until Matt and Foggy emerge, Matt being helped in some ways that make it clear yeah he's blind but still can kick your ass.

We've had a few gritty and serious stories now where some Bad Guys go after Foggy in order to get to Matt, so how about a funnier take on that situation? Foggy is a vigilante's best friend, he expects people to come after him. He is prepared, he takes precautions, doesn't go out at night, starts carrying the baseball bat everywhere, etc.

Maybe he even makes friends with some of the more recurring kidnappers who are just doing their jobs, he gets it, no hard feelings, does anyone have a deck of cards? We probably have at least a half hour to kill before Daredevil gets here.

Gen or shipping is fine, up to you. idk if Matt's identity is completely known to the public for this or if someone has just noticed that kidnapping that one lawyer whose firm Daredevil gave info to once is a great way to make him come running. Weird how they can never find the other lawyer to grab, but this one works, so hey.

I really hope this is what the OP was looking for. It wound up having way more feels than I anticipated, to be honest.

Nelson and Murdock quickly gain a reputation as a small local practice who will fight tooth-and-nail for the little guy. This being said, it is apparent to everyone that, as half the cases they take on are pro bono, business isn't booming. The little old ladies chatting at the bus shelter worry about those poor boys not eating properly, or that nice lady being behind on her rent.

So, as a community, Hell's Kitchen decides to pay back Nelson and Murdock in the only way it can. By adopting them.

This takes the form of knitwear delivered in the winter, invitations for a home cooked meal by the sort of old dears you can't refuse, discounts on fruit and vegetables, maybe even free ham.

Bonus points if you can manage to fit in literally everyone knowing about Matt being Daredevil but not saying anything.

So Foggy tells Matt he loves him a lot, because they are that kind of friends, and Matt is used to Foggy's heart being totally steady and honest when he says it.

Which is why, sometime after the Daredevil reveal, it breaks his heart when Foggy suddenly starts sounding like he's lying when he says it.

(... Because he's just realized in the wake of everything that he's in love with Matt, not just friend-love, and suddenly it feels like he's saying it on false pretenses.)

I want Matt to realize he's genuinely being haunted by an actual ghost/demon/something really creepy or scary.

It starts off small, like items not being where he set them down. Then it escalates to strange noises. Then one night he's alone in the office when he hears someone come in, and walk right up to him, but he can't hear a heartbeat, or breath, or anything.

The only reason it hasn't killed him is because he can't see it.
