I think tehre was an agrement to put trigger warnings on soem fics liek the Slaves AU where the subject is more delicate.

I think the TW depends on the kind of fic the author is writing and the things that can be delicate subjects but one thing the author doesnt consider triggering maybe it does for others, so it's dificult for a writter to know what can be trigering or not.

Actually, the main problem I saw with some of the slavefics--and the problem that I think most of the complaints were about--was that the headings and/or beginning of some of those fills in particular didn't make it clear exactly what was being filled, and the fills tended to have lots and lots of parts, compounding the problem. When I was reading in flat view I'd start in on something that had a generic title (or only had FILL) and then go--oh, wait, right, it's this stuff. (I had the same problem with the Hamilton fic for a little while, until I memorized the title.) It isn't even that's it's triggering to me; it's just that I don't want some of that in my head. (And in the case of the Hamilton fic, it was that I would get very, very frustrated by not knowing the source material. Which in this case is both Hamilton and Twitter. I stay away from Twitter; I know what's good for me. :p ) So it was more a lack of understanding from certain new writers on naming and Notes conventions, due to how flat view works.

Let's be real, though, if your summary isn't a good indication of what kind of fic you wrote, try to let people know in the tags, or warn in the Notes. If I think I'm going to read a sweet little Regency AU involving mostly a comedy of manners, and I click through to an opening scene involving cannibalism, I think a little indignation is justifiable. Don't do *that* to the people who are willing to take a chance on your work.
