Re: Foggy's position post-s2

"Starting" salary implies that there'll be more if he proves himself/they like him/whatever subjective criteria HCB uses. I took the "it gets better" as an extension of that implication. Idk, maybe I'm overly attached to the fact that it really doesn't work that way and the assumption that Hogarth and her partners are smarter than offering the highest position at their firm to someone who maybe has potential, but whom they don't know much about and who could end up an embarrassment to their firm.

I love Foggy and he deserves everything. But offering a name partnership to someone based mainly on their opening statement in a case that was a major failure is... not exactly reasonable.

I'm definitely in agreement that it wouldn't really work that way irl! But just the way it was presented screamed to me (and quite a few other anons) that he was straight up being offered the position, not just teased with the possibility of getting it down the line, regardless of logic. (Though it seems like, and she acknowledges in the dialogue, that his standout performance in the Punisher trial is proof that he lives up to his potential already. It is one hell of an addition to the 'ol resume.)

This is most likely being used by the writers as a shortcut/easy way to set him up for appearing in one of the other shows or future seasons of Daredevil as the defense attorney who deals with vigilantes in NY.

I honestly hope the writers don't go the insta name partner way. The lack pf logic hurts me on a personal level.

He still could end up being THE defence attorney without the shortcut. If he ends up dealing with vigilantism-related cases he'd become THE lawyer, regardless of his status as name partner/junior partner.

Just, please, writers. I need this to make sense.
