Re: What did you LOVE about Season 2?

Elektraaaaaa~

She was just as wonderful and complicated and manic and composed and contradictory as I wanted her to be. And I kind of loved that the sex scene between her and Matt was in flashback, because it meant the connection between them in present time was allowed to focus on the emotional side of things, rather than just being about the heat between them.

Also that little bit when they broke into Roscoe's place and Elektra's at the fridge and tosses the jar behind her and Matt catches it without looking: such a tiny moment but so smoooooth

I loved Karen being allowed to find herself away from Nelson & Murdock. She's such a resourceful character, and such a fighter in her own way. But it felt like she could only do so much in season one, where the story required her to bring attention to wrongdoings so Foggy and Matt could be the ones with the training able to deliver the legal smackdowns. This season, she was the one getting out there, not only bringing their attention to wrongdoings, but dealing with those wrongdoings herself. It didn't feel like she was being held back when I watched season one, but season two suddenly (and yet, in terms of her character, organically) made it feel like she'd been holding herself in check and suddenly all that fire inside of her was finding an outlet and it was awesome to watch.

And Frank, holy shit, Frank. I was really worried about what they'd do with his character, but they managed to create this really complex person who is unstable and sympathetic and frightening and sweet and deadly and charming. I was so, so impressed with him.
