Hahahahaa, I wish I could write all night. XD I'm so so hooked on this prompt like you don't even KNOW. Unfortunately, I've got a day of meetings tomorrow at work and an engagement after, so I don't think I'll have much time to work on part 2 until Thursday. :(
That's fine, I can wait, I got plenty to do myself. Worth the wait.
Maybe like, take notes so you don't forget you ideas by Thursday?

I think it was just enough background, really. You detailed their first meeting, which is super important, summarized the years to give us a sense of what their friendship was like, and then detailed the night Foggy died. Worked perfectly in my opinion.
I really wanted to get to Foggy's death too, I was waiting on that so eagerly. Because I have dark kinks.

XD He just didn't want to TELL Foggy that because they were all cozy and familiar with each other, and it was nice for someone to just treat him like an equal rather than a terrifying overlord of infernal justice and wrath. :D Also, Matt is bad with words when it comes to navigating the social mindfield of friendship. Oh my gods yes yes yessssssss. I love that trope, where someone big and badass and scary is like, normal with their friend or lover, and then the other person finds out their dark secret. And it usually never ends well but I prefer it where the person is like "... awesome" or turned on about it.
Well there really is no good way to say "BTW I am Satan, er, so ... yeah."

Oh Matt. He's so terrible at this. Though, to be fair, he's never done this before I suspect.

XD But really, it was more like, the first few years Matt himself didn't quite have a plan in mind for Foggy's soul yet, and by the time he did he'd been stringing him along with pretty platitudes of "Don't worry" and "It'll be fine" for SO LONG that he doesn't know how to backtrack. :P
Oh Matt. NOT telling him was so much worse. Even just saying "hey when it's time, I'm not gonna pitch you in lava or something, you'll be safe, you'll still be with me" and Foggy would have probably not believed him but still, at least it'd have been something. Oh Matt.

Oh, my Google document is scattered with notes and snippets, no worries. :P I'll be out of town without internet Friday through Sunday, though, so while I'll start working on part 2 properly on Thursday, it probably won't get wrapped up until next week at the earliest (depending on how badly the muse runs away with me)! I know you said you're not big on tracking works in progress, so I'm going to try to get part 2 complete before posting it. :D (Although I suppose I can always poke you on Tumblr to let you know of updates, haha...?)

No, I'm super into the Persephone myth as well (and Foggy and Matt are SO FREAKING HADESEPHONE down to the demons eventually being more scared of FOGGY than Matt), which is why I'm hitting my head on a wall that I missed it!

I'm so happy the pacing of the story is working for you and doesn't feel like too much of a drag. :D YAY FOGGY'S DEATH. \o/ ON TO EVER AFTERRR.

--- Yeah, Matt isn't exactly a good example of a well-adjusted, communicative, reasonable person. :P To be fair, he's been the ruler of Hell for millennia - he hasn't had to answer to someone else or explain his actions since being thrown out of/walking away from Heaven... :P

No no, I can track WIP just fine, I’m terrible at writing them myself though. I tend to do oneshots or rarely a trilogy or something. A series though, usually defeats me. I can keep up with them just fine though. Write at your own pace, I have plenty I can keep occupied with.
