OP: I understand where you're coming from, but the relationships and the actual timing of the reveal is vaaaastly different in the MCU that it changes everything about the consequences. In the comics Foggy was one of the last people to have been told about Matt, and in the MCU he's one of the first, so while there may be some repercussions if Matt wanted to unmask (and lbr, it's not a mask to him, it's a symbol, and he's not going to give that up without a fight), right now it's not anything compared to what was on the line for the comics version of Foggy and Matt. In the MCU, however, Marvel are attempting to line up their titles to support Civil War and there must be some kind of fallout to affect DD, too. And I'm assuming DD will be Matt Murdock and not Danny Rand, but I guess we'll see.

I don't know if we're going to see Foggy continually brewing and bitter over Matt in the hornhead mask next season, but if we do, it's going to be because they're angling toward putting N&M in opposite corners of the ring, and my heart just isn't ready for that yet. From a writer's perspective the conflict would make sense, and there's always the chance Matt would unmask with the support of his friends, but somehow I doubt Marvel is going to make it that easy.
