Crossover with Discworld

I keep misreading the title of another prompt and getting briefly excited because I think someone's requested a Discworld crossover... so here one is! Anything would be amazing. The Devil of Ankh-Morpork? Karen von Überwald? Death watching Matt's every move, because his timer keeps nearly running out?

I had a long conversation with someone today where we basically came to the conclusion that Sam Vimes is a combination of Matt and Foggy - this stone-cold badass who believes in the power of the law and of the people because if not then what's the point of fighting, this guy who keeps getting knocked down but gets back up again and surrounds himself with people who love him and who he cares about fiercely back, a guy who won't kill because he's so scared of losing control one day that he's created his own internal watchman to hold back the dark that's in him.

This was a long-winded way of saying SECONDED!

I've wanted this since that prompt on the second post where Foggy, Karen, and Claire work at keeping Death away from Matt and all my head could do was imagine replacing incompetent Death with Pratchett's version, who is the absolute best.

I need this.

Foggy gives Death a basket full of black kitties (happy, well fed and purring). Death leaves Matt alone for nearly a week.

I mean, we already see Foggy buttering up Brett's mom with cigars to get cases, so why wouldn't he do a thousand more things to help save Matt?

Alternatively, I'm sure this could be taken in a dark way, if someone wanted to write the gang quietly making kills to satisfy Death. That is, he is only satisfied by souls, so he wants some to replace Matt's. (Disclaimer: have not read Pratchett's Death, will get on that soon)
