So I was listening to Daredavil mixes and found this brilliant one. Have a listen it's hilarious and the annotations are as good as the song choices.

Anyway I really want to hear the story's behind the songs on this list and why they are banned.

tbh Stick and Anthony are both really high up there on my list of most hated fictional douchebag authority figures. ugh i need this.

Fuck, anon, this is the best thing ever. I love how panicked and helpless Matt is, and how basically his only trump card is that he would never hurt Fisk's wife (and really, Fisk could be like: Damn right you'll never hurt her because you'll be dead) and all Matt can do is pray that Fisk won't a) murder him or b) hurt his friends.

(speaking of praying, can I request Fisk to catch Matt praying under his breath at some point in this? like, matt thinks he's seconds away from death type of praying. maybe the rubble shifts suddenly and sends him into a panic?)

Props to you for the phone flashlight thing. I remember people mentioning Fisk not being able to see Matt's face in the dark and was like: um... everyone carries a cellphone on them nowadays, lol.

okay, so that spiderman scene/matt not even considering the avengers is about MY PERSONAL FEELS reg. CA:TWS. (at least one US SENATOR is revealed TO BE A LITERAL NAZI plotting the deaths of EVERYONE IMPORTANT IN THE US. and also LITERAL SCIFI NAZIS have infiltrated every sphere of US government. particularly the secretive agency responsible for homeland security, in the MCU, HAHAHA.)

Matt and Foggy are lawyers. they are very aware of everyone being prosecuted for treason right now. (it's the first time in decades that US citizens are being executed for treason). Matt is...less than confident, shall we say? about approaching the Avengers.

Vanessa/Wilson (<3 <3 murderers/enablers IN LOVE okay my WEIRD HEART)

i spent way too long considering whether to leave "i peed myself" in or take it out, on the grounds that it was juvenile and cartoonish.

and then i remembered that we were talking matt "haha i fell down taking out the trash! and then i walked into a door! haha DO NOT INVESTIGATE MY NONSUSPICIOUS INJURIES FURTHER, LOVED ONES!" murdock, and i left it in.

(This is all I have so I'm posting it before I go to bed tonight. Hopefully I can finish it tomorrow. I'm a little stuck, I need to piece together something that doesn't end too badly for Matt, haha.)

"If it's any consolation, you did- beat the shit out of me later that night," Murdock gasped. He was shaking, Fisk could feel the tremors where their bodies touched.

"How do you- how is that even possible?"

Murdock shook his head, unfocused gaze somewhere above them. Fisk could now see that they were trapped beneath a semi-intact collapsed section of wall, angled down- the ceiling was nearly one smooth piece. He tilted the phone away from Murdock and examined the rest, seeing chunks of concrete and rebar, but no way to exit.

He turned back to Murdock and studied him some more. He knew he should be more angry, and the thought of Murdock and Vanessa... he had gone after his wife- but no, that wasn't quite it, was it? He'd walked in on Murdock speaking to Vanessa, but now that he recalled, the man's manner had changed completely as soon as he'd been face-to-face with him. He'd been nervous. At the time, Fisk had chalked it up to a man unexpectedly being caught in the act of flirting with another man's girlfriend, but no. Murdock had been gathering information on him. It had been rather absurd at the time, but now it was even more so- a blind man doing reconnaissance at an art gallery? Had he even thought that through?

Well, Fisk mused, leaning back again to rest his head against the concrete, the Mask hadn't exactly been much for planning ahead, either. His entire modus operandi had been 'find person, punch person, ask questions'. Ridiculous.

"So," he said, at length, awkwardly. "You're blind. You can hear well enough that you know what they're saying outside. What else?"

"No," Murdock said, moving his jaw from side to side, almost like a nervous tick. "I need- I need to know that you won't- that this stays between us-"

(SCREAMING)

(crying)

(my go-to "why doesn't fisk just break matt's neck" handwaving excuse/plot device is SOMETHING BIGGER takes up everyones attention? apologies if you've already worked it into your plot, butz:

who bombed the building? who is responsible for almost murdering both daredevil & the kingpin, right?)

Won't lie, read that as power of a thousand NUNS...

I put Border Collie in there for a reason- they're very smart. (and a touch of whippet for speed and even though I didn't put that much thought into it- I've probably put too much thought into it. I am a dog person.)

And not quite parkour, but rebounding off of walls to make a corner at full speed, leaping over obstacles, etc, ("I'm not so much a Guide Dog as I am a Mobility Dog- look how mobile I am! Wheee!")

Call it puppy parkour- dogs can make some impressive moves when they want to. (and often when you don't)

Due to exposure to mysterious chemicals or maybe just a good bump to the head, somehow, Matt loses his heightened senses.

I've read stuff like this before but I want to see one where it is absolutely permanent. He has to frustratingly relearn how to do every-day tasks like navigating rooms (something he probably relied his sonar sense to do.) It's like being newly blinded again.

Please give me angsty Matt feeling helpless and out-of-place.

Aaargh, this is why I don't write often, because I don't plot shit through before hand. I did plant that bit about someone trying to tell the police and firefighters that the building was empty, but WHO would that be? Just some random schmuck? idk ugh.

I'll sleep on it. I don't know if this is really kosher, but if anyone wants to help me brainstorm, I'll be on skype for a little bit longer tonight and tomorrow. Name's saeto15.

Though with the 'My parents are religious and that's why I am not' comment I always headcanoned her parents as the extreme 'Everything that happens is God's will'-type and that totally includes serious/fatal illnesses and stuff like 'you did not pray hard d enough for it to happen/You were bad so God thought you didn't deserve what you prayed for'

Matt, Foggy, and Karen have to go out in the country for a few days for whatever reason. Thing is, Matt and Foggy are both born-and-bred city boys and have hardly ever spent much time in rural areas. Foggy finds it creepy and dirty; Matt keeps hearing weird critters in the bushes and nothing smells right.

Karen, meanwhile, grew up out in the country, and tries her very best not to laugh at them.

GOD YES I NEED THIS NOW. Their friendship gives me life. All the sleepovers pls.

(and like, Matt got used to listening to Foggy's heartbeat to lull him to sleep and it's one of the reasons he sleeps less now it's not there.)

(added angst around Foggy's negative reaction hearing that Matt listens to people hearts too sorry for hijacking this prompt a little but oh no I made myself feel things)

OP HERE TO SAY THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH THIS NAME IS HOW IT NEVER OCCURRED TO ME BEFORE OMG THE PERFECTION ANON

Foggy is trapped somewhere with little hope of immediate rescue (collapsed building? broken elevator? supervillain lair? bank vault? giant walk-in freezer?) The only thing he can think of to do is just keep talking (with steadily increasing hysteria) in the hopes that Matt will eventually hear him and come to his rescue.

OP here to say that in that case I am also totally not excited for the mini fill you are not working out details for.
