Matt bleeds a lot, right? He must leave blood at crime scenes and on the people he fights. Can you really expect me to believe that no one has collected blood samples and tried to figure out who Daredevil is?

YES.

The first time Fisk puts a hand on Matt's throat it's just meant in an admiring kind of way (and he doesn't even squeeze that hard really), but Matt immediately gets a rush from it and goes completely boneless and they're all like: "wut" but then: "yaaassss"

So Karen thinks she's making Matt a favor and get him a dog (trained, proper, useful dog). Matt accepts it, but fully plans on putting him up for adoption or something like that soon, so he takes the dog to a veterinary clinic/animals center, where Foggy is the vet.

Foggy completely fusses about the dog (and Matt) and now Matt doesn't want to let the dog go. Plus the animal it's kinda useful and it makes people move out of his way even better than Karen does.

Bonus points: Daredevil has a helping dog from time to time.
Double bonus points: the dog is named something corny and/or Christian lore related.

Oh god I love the image of happy, veterinary Foggy fussing over a cute dog and Matt just completely falling in love. ;_;

OP here. I'll accept as within the original parameters of the fill if that's how you choose to do it.

Now they boh lying about teh same topic. I like it.

Did somebody say corny Christian lore? Well no you didn't but let me talk about some saints:

Rupert of Salzburg is the patron saint of dogs. Yes we have one (there's even a separate one for hounds/hunting-dogs: Hubertus)

St. Jude is the saint for hopeless cases.

Kuno: against illnesses of any kind in pets.

Eustachius is the saint of sad family situations. No really. (also of plumbers, drapers, hunters, traders, Paris, Madrid and against dangerous insects. No I don't know either)

Dionysius of Paris, Dominikus of Sora, Hubertus od Lüttich, Vitus & Walburga are all against dogbites. Not sure why there are that many and why one of them couldn't e.g. have done plumbing instead.

Johanna Maria de la Maillé is for/against legal trouble

Julianus of Brioude is an 'avenger of perjurers' (and incidentally the all-round go-to saint for deaf, blind, lame and mute people)

Catherine of Alexandria, Lucia, Yves and Nikolaus of Myra all do saint-duties for lawyers. Lucia additionally also for the blind.

My personal favourite is Rita of Cascia another hopeless-cases saint but because she isn't busy enough with that also for exam-worry and sausage-making.

Author Anon here and I've just finished filling out a spreadsheet of Matt's symptoms and the underlying illness...someone kill me I know too much about the vascular system now... Hahaha. I'm gonna start working on this in earnest tonight.

Because Karen would make and excellent companion allright? She's got the strong sense of justice, no self preservation, and talent for babysitting idiot noble manbabies. And maybe she learned to use a gun from Unit or Jack or something.

The boys don't find this out until a very strange man barges into their office, grabs Karen and drags her off while babbling about mutant space-snails or something equally bizarre.

Omg. I love this prompt, and I Love all these saints. Like, Karen names the dog Jude at first to sing Beatles at Matt -

The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better

- but then Dr. Nelson mentions the St. Jude/hopeless cases thing (and Matt swoons at him knowing saints) and coos over the dog and teases Matt about being a 'hopeless case'

(Snippet!anon below) I wholeheartedly 1000% approve of this storyline and Foggy trolling Matt. :D

WHAT IF Matt overhears them talking about "collaring daredevil" (and it can be a nudge nudge, wink wink on that silly headline about Daredevil Collaring Fisk), and Matt thinks they're making fun of him and want to control him and use him as their own personal tool...

But they're actually talking about LITERALLY collaring him. Like, getting a collar for their sub, because they've totally picked up on how pliant Matt gets when Fisk puts his hand around Matt's neck and they want to play with that some more and Vanessa wants to see a collar around his pretty throat and to see Wilson pull him around by it.

what if???
