(Maybe they played it once in college - Foggy thinking he's totally cool with it, he's a secure guy, he's definitely going to win, but it turns out dear Matt is a STUBBORN, CONTRARY BASTARD and he cheats like a mofo. Like, I'm thinking this is when Matt pulls out the Face-Touching. And they keep pushing it and pushing it and maybe -

And then they both Nope out of it real fast, speed of light fast. Hahaha, wasn't that hilarious, no boners here, no way, no siree. Cue repression. So much repression.

And then somehow, SOMEHOW it comes up again post-season? Maybe the 'Man Without Fear' title is brought up, and an unwise Foggy snorts something to the effect that DD couldn't even win a game of gay chicken, I mean come on. And Matt's like, uh, actually I won. And Foggy's all, you must've hit your head too many times, sunshine, I definitely won. And of course they don't agree, so really the only way to prove who's the Gay Chicken Master is to repeat the experiment again. And again. And again.)

Fisk and Vanessa name their son Wesley.

Foggy catches Matt jerking off in their office, but he thinks Matt hasn't noticed him and he can't move because he doesn't want to get caught but he also kinda really wants to watch Matt pleasuring himself.

Matt knows Foggy is watching but doesn't let on, and it's a thrill and a huge turn-on he never knew he had.

It's great because he's in a public space but he can['t be 100% who's there and who's looking at him. the fact that people could be observing things about him - how flushed he is or his facial expressions or how his eyes roll back in his head when someone touches him just so - wouldn't occur to him right away because that's not something's that's relevant to his daily experience.

(also there's just something about watching someone who's usually so cool and collected completely fall apart)

There are thermometers designed to be used rectally, which have stubbier tips than universal thermometers. As far as I know, they can also be used orally. But maybe Foggy and Karen just don't want to put something in Matt's mouth that could have been in someone's ass.

This is a good prompt, anon, and you should feel good.

Gah. Not how I was planning on spending my night.^^° Anyway, have Matt and Foggy on the way home from the bar. Also, this seems to be firmly heading into slash territory, but I'm not exactly surprised...

„Stop TAPPING so loudly!“ To Matt's senses, Foggy's kick against his cane is telegraphed, but he still makes himself take an insecure stumble and give a little gasp as it impacts.
„You don't need the damn thing anyway,“ Foggy's hand closes around the handle – Matt thinks he would probably be the only one to hear the underlying dry humour in the statement, Foggy knowing full well he'd get that joke – and he therefore offers no resistance when the cane is yanked out of his hand.

„I'll lead you. Teach you to act like you're ashamed to be seen next to me,“ Foggy slurs, and this time it's hard for Matt to maintain the crestfallen and slightly frightened expression when Foggy takes his hand and tucks it into the familiar spot inside his elbow, something he has barely done ever since he found out about Matt's senses. The immediate spark of happiness as his fingers press into the warm skin beneath Foggy's shirt sleeve takes Matt enough by surprise that he has to struggle for a moment to suppress the widest smile – and then has to consciously control himself even more when he realizes that Foggy's heart just skipped a beat at the contact, too.

„Don't, uh...grab. So tightly. You do things bad. Um.“ Foggy's voice is somewhat strangled as he tries to keep his persona upright, and finally Matt has to give in and laugh. His grip on Foggy's arm becomes even tighter as a result, but it doesn't matter much, and it's actually helpful to have something to hold onto as he tries to muffle his amusement with his other hand.

„Matt!“ This time it's Foggy who hisses in warning. „What are you-?“
„Nah, it's fine,“ Matt interrupts him. „Last person walking after us turned into a different direction half a minute ago. At the moment there's no one around who could hear or see anyhing of us.“

„Oh. Right,“ Foggy says, sounding slightly sheepish, before recovering „Reckon you could have told me about this, owl ears? Play-acting this jerk is hard work and now I just feel silly.“

„Sorry,“ Matt repeats for the third time that night, but this time he's unabashedly grinning. Foggy gives a defeated sigh.
„Pearls before swine, honestly. Well. Guess you can take this back, then-“ with his free hand he holds the cane over to Matt again, and makes a movement to disentangle his elbow from Matt's grip.
Matt surprises himself when he doesn't let him.

„No,“ he says before he can stop himself, tightening his grip only marginally. Foggy pauses in his movement and turns his head toward him, probably giving him a questioning glance.
„I'm giving you a questioning glance,“ he confirms.
Matt snorts. „I figured.“ Then he swallows, tries to explain himself. „I, uh, you don't...have to let go,“ he says, even though he's the one holding on. „Actually, I kinda missed this.“

Even in the cool night air, he can feel his cheeks becoming somewhat warmer. He is kind of glad Foggy doesn't share his heat vision.
„...really?“ Foggy asks after a moment. Matt shrugs.
„It's nice. I don't have to concentrate as much. And it always felt...right.“

„Oh. Okay, then,“ Foggy, surprisingly, just nods. „Then I guess in this case...wanna seem authentic the rest of the way home?“

....yeah, so far. I would definitely have thought for the serial killer to be an OC (I know far too little of the various Marvel small-time villains, anyway) but I'm still wondering what would be a cool way to get them to notice Foggy and Matt, and where a final confrontation could happen. Like, killer comes to Foggy's place while Matt is out Daredeviling? Killer comes into their law firm to pose as a client? And what kind of places should Matt and Foggy go on 'dates'? Clubs and bars seem a given, but where else would be fun....?

Or Young Avengers crossovers?

Happy Canada day fellow Canucks.

So to celebrate, let's send Matt to Canada. Where and why don't matter, even the when. Just give me Matt in Canada during some point in his life.
(Maybe he goes there during fourth of July to escape the fireworks?)

(Unrelated sidenote, for Canada day, it's strangely cold here in SW Ontario. Shrug.)

Love this so much! The voices are great, and the dialogue is easy to read and engaging. So excited for more!

When the events of Nelson vs Murdock first happen, Foggy doesn't leave. Sure, he's angry and scared, but he doesn't walk out.

But then Foggy dies. Maybe Nobu's gang come for vengeance and find him in Matt's apartment. Maybe Wesley puts two and two together and somehow realises that blind lawyer = man in black. However it happens, Foggy staying with Matt and not walking out means he gets hurt/killed.

Matt is heartbroken. Only to wake up the next day, back on his couch. Foggy doesn't know about his powers, or his reasons, or any of it. It's like yesterday never happened.

Matt tries repeatedly to save Foggy. Day after day after day. Whatever he does, Foggy gets hurt/killed. And somehow he realises that the only way Foggy is safe is if Matt lets him leave.

Cue the outcome of N&M being the only way to break the cycle.

You know they did it.

Possibly RTYI, or maybe you've read it and it inspired this prompt, but there's a Groundhog Day!AU where Foggy's the one who has to relive things over and over again? Although I love your take on the theme. :D

I have read (and adore) that fic, and I was thinking about it today, which kind of inspired this prompt. It's nice to know that other people know that wonderful fic is out there, though. :)

I'm currently picturing Karen helping him with the oatmeal bath while Foggy had to go run to the store to get something, like calamine lotion, and poor Matt sitting miserably in the tub. Maybe he thinks Karen can't see anything with him in the water, and then him being mortified when she's helping him rinse off.
