Ayrt...this really isn't that off. One of the funerals I went to had basically the priest repeating the same two bits of information over and over again with different words...

Same. The priest came to visit my family at home TWICE, and not once did he ask for info on what my father was like.

What, I'm not bitter. -_-

Some of my family members have ... Interesting interpretations of the deceased's wishes when it comes to funeral services.
When I was younger I started writing my own service for them while those that actually knew me have an Irish wake with an ice cream truck.
It starts with a somber, instrumental rendition of 'drop-kick me Jesus through the goal-posts of life'...
