Damn you, I'd just gotten out of a research spree on bone fractures, now I have like 12 tabs open on metals and taste and blood.
My five minutes of googling so far has informed me that copper was discovered earlier, and copper dinnerware goes back a long time.

Really though, I think it's because it stands out. In a sea of vague grayish metals that you weren't paying attention to in history class, copper is the most memorable and recognizable one. I mean shit, look at that fancy ass orange shine. The Statue of Liberty used to be that color! Thats super cool. If you lick an oxidized penny, you are basically tasting the Statue of Liberty, but with less chance of being tasered by security.

I'm taking a crack at the 'Matt being terrible with children' prompts. Not the cute ones.
Rn I'm having him antagonize a child soldier, later I'm gonna start with him bruising someone's ribs during a training session and go from there.

Ouch. Reminds me of that time he tried to teach a blind kid his radar sense like Stick did.

Apparently most children find those teaching methods abusive.

I'm doing a case-fic, whump, medical thing. IDEK. I'm the rambliest writer ever and I never finish long works like this one. But he's caught in an explosion at the courthouse and is blown out a third floor window.

Are you the writer for the fic where FIsk and Vanessa rape him in his apartment? If so, you did a great job and I'm eagerly following the sequel.

If not, I would love to be pointed at your fic.

Oh my gosh, that sounds fantastic actually. I hope you do finish it so I get to read it! I really, really want long case-fic in this fandom like burning, lol.

(Yes, that's me! Chapter 3 should be up by Monday, I'm thinking)

YAY, new chapter!

Mine is currently over 16K words and no where near finished... with a couple of other WIPs in the same continuity (one currently at 4K another at 11K and a collection of random paragraphs and ideas at 5K). I'm the worst writer ever when it comes to finishing ANYTHING. :((((

Would you consider posting what you have so far (like, assuming you have enough written to post at least a first chapter)? Writing can feel a bit like existing in a vacuum. Sometimes it helps to just let the bird fly from the nest, y'know?
