I think they weren't expecting the show to be anything more than a one-off season and jumped the gun on his death. :-(

I still think they wouldn't have done it if they'd kniwn they were getting the rights to Spider-Man back.

Can you even imagine Vondie Curtis-Hall getting to cameo or be introduced to movie audiences in that too? That would have been an awesome way for Marvel to fuse the TV and movie worlds.

YES because they couldn't even use The Daily Bugle on DD, and Ben's a big part of Spider-Man's world, too, so now I'm wondering if they're going to have a different Ben altogether for the Spidey films, or if they're just not going to use him at all, since the MCU is supposed to be connected and Kingpin just killed Ben recently? I will be super pissed if they give Peter a new Ben and he's actually white like in the comics. SUPER PISSED.

op here: i 100% agree that they seriously jumped the gun, it didn't seem to serve a purpose at this point in the story?? even with them assuming it was going to be a one season deal, i'm not sure why they thought killing him was a good decision at all tbh :-(
