Agreed on the second one, although my grudge against Bendis is because of House of M, rather than his DD run (which I haven't read).

On the first, yes, and this is something I'm really passionate about. Like, I think you can interpret Stick as having no feelings for Matt, and I do think that's a valid reading. But I think a much more interesting reading is that in his own fucked up way, Matt is the only person he has cared about in forever and the main reason he left was because he was getting too attached, not because Matt was.
