Wiping down blades with ethanol or another antiseptic before use is definitely a good idea.

Regarding aftercare in the BDSM-sense, I'm not really the person to give advice there.

(OP) No problem! And with any luck, someone with more IRL knowledge of kink/fet will be able to chime-in with some good aftercare info. Most of my knowledge in that sphere comes from fic!

re: aftercare, probably a glass of water, a blanket, cuddling/hugs, not letting the person leave by themselves until they're in the right mindset, talking about the scene and anything that they enjoyed or found problematic, etc.
