What's the weirdest thing you've had to Google in order to fill a prompt for this meme?

I don't know if you'd call this "weird" per se, but I found it kind of funny when I realized that I, being a lesbian, don't know what it feels/tastes like to suck a dick, so I had to research it. XD;;

Hahaha, ew! Yeah, I think that qualifies as weird!

Omg I can relate to this XD I've only ever been with girls so uh yeah....

HAHAHAHA same!! And then the internet is super unhelpful because it turns out the answer to that is "it tastes different depending on what the guy eats and whether he's clean, etc" or "it's like sucking a really big thumb"

Very randomly, I googled how much a can of chicken soup costs in US. I didn't actually need to use the information!

But hey, the more you know!

I'm writing for the Foggy is a spy/ Red Room Trainee prompt. I'm trying to come up with some action scenes, so I searched what would happen if you shot a flashbang.

PRetty sure it would kill someone if you like, shot it out of their hands and it went off or something, but I still don't know what happens if you shoot a flashbang. I scrapped the idea, but I'm still curious. I just ended up watching a bunch of training vids of military and police people learning how to use them.

I also remembered an article about a Russian spy ring being broken up in New York a couple of years ago so I looked it up and apparently it happened again recently.

OMG YES. i learned about this in my ap gov class: one of the main ringleaders of the group was a woman who was the closest thing to a real-life natasha romanov you could get.

Oh god I've written so many, so there has been so much research.

- laws for committing someone against their will to a psychiatric unit
- laws dealing with abuse in adults
- lots of allergies to drugs and reactions. literally all the drug allergies.
- how british money lines up size wise with icelandic money, where airports are in new york, how much stuff costs in a remote labrador town, how far small aircrafts can make it without refuelling
- what lovecraftian stories really are
- ada laws requiring braille and other accessibility things
- psychiatrists at columbia and how their health clinic works
- sites to make fake tweets

(You can probably tell a lot of the fics I did based on this. Shrug. I've done a lot.)

I've had to Google a lot of stuff related to disability and blindness, mostly. Stuff about described video - which movies are available with described video, and how it works in relation to TV, for example. Also various tools that Matt might use to assist him in his daily life.

I've also Googled a lot of stuff about law school - what kind of courses would they take, what kind of assignments might they be asked to do, what is the Columbia campus like, legal terminology, etc.

Once, I Googled public transportation routes in Connecticut for a fic I was doing related to Matt struggling with accessibility concerns outside of the New York area.

I feel bad because I know that I really don't do as much research as some other writers do. I can tell by the quality of information in other fics.

I don't write smut, or I'm sure my research would be much, much weirder.

The other day I was googling prostate massagers and whether rabbit vibrators are any good for people without vaginas/clitorises- apparently so!
