I honestly wonder if this whole "give me a new identity and disguise me" plotline in Waid's run is a set up so they can make him look more like Charlie Cox. :)

THIS. They can't magically make Matt younger like Charlie Cox but CC is so freaking lovely to watch and I have to agree with the people who feel like he's overwritten the picture of Matt I've had in my head for years. And I love the 6ft ginger thing! If the show had been awful I'd still be thinking of 6ft ginger Matt, but no Charlie killed it and my brain automatically makes yummy noises about the badass little cupcake with the darker hair.

All of this is so different than MCU Clint Barton because no, my brain refuses to think of Clint in any other form other than comics Clint, the end. And I like Jeremy Renner, but MCU Clint takes away from the characterisation rather than add anything to it so I'm very reluctant to give up comics Clint.
