As opportunities go to be able to brutally kill off major characters, a universal reboot where they'll probably be alive again would be a temptation.

Fisk was probably smug as anything the whole time. Chortling under his breath. There's probably a panel we don't see where he asks Matt about what he thinks of the art and Matt just looks at him like 'you being serious bro'.

Argh, that panel is lovely. One of my favourite things about the Waid/Samnee run is how good they are at showing that Matt has people who genuinely care about him and love him, and how he loves them back and would do anything for them in return (evidence: THIS ISSUE).

Because Matt knows what he's offering and what it'll cost him and it's so clear that he has these two people who are the most important people in the world to him, and he loves them both more than anything. For his sake as well as theirs, I really hope the finale isn't just several issues of 'watch as everything Matt loves is destroyed'. Wouldn't surprise me though.

IM DEVASTATED ABOUT WAID/SAMNEE RUN ENDING. I absolutely adore Samnee's art and would gladly have him draw DD forever. And Waid just made DD so engaging, more lighthearted while still respecting the cores of these characters and the entirety of vol 3/4 is AMAZING. Why does it have to end. Why.

And agreed with all you wrote I just- I have so many feels. So many.

Samnee's art is wonderful and bright and it shouldn't really work with a hero who is so strongly associated with a dark and gritty focus, but it REALLY does.

Let's hope the new team do as good a job!

And maybe give my feelings a break, because it's honestly been difficult these last couple of issues. my precious babies
