I get the anon-thing. I LIKE the anon-thing, but I HATE trying to follow any story/conversation without the benefits of notifications! I have brain damage from a horseback-riding accident, and I have severe short term memory issues. I can never find anything that I'm looking for. Delicious is some sort of theoretical physics to me. I just want to beat my head against the wall (that helps with brain damage, right?)

Anyway. Y'all are awesome. This is my first kinkmeme. Whump is my jam.

I'll go be frustrated in the corner again.

You could maybe bookmark any conversations/stories you're interested in, and check them occasionally? And you can always ask here if you're looking for something in particular. <3

(OP) :D I would have SO MANY BOOKMARKS! And mostly, I don't remember what I'm looking for (huge part of the problem). I just never realized how reliant I am on notifications.

I know, it's so frustrating. I imagine it must be worse for you, of course, but it pisses me off too. The worst think is, I'm sure you used to be able to get notifications. I'm sure I've done it on other kinkmemes by logging in to request notifications and then just making sire to re-anon when you post. Maybe that was only on Livejournal though, but I'm fairly sure I've done it here too.

You can get notifications for a whole post, but on Dreamwidth you have to get a paid account to track individual threads.

You know, I've been thinking about this as well. It would be so much easier if we had better tracking options than having to bookmark your own prompts to periodically come back and check them manually.

I get why a kink meme should be anon only, but I'm a total gen person, and I've been a member of gen memes where it was allowed but not mandatory to post anonymously. That always worked pretty well.

Would it be an option to have a voluntary gen/non-anon meme thread where people can choose to use their usernames when they post? Or at least a discussion thread where we can post with our usernames? I've read a few other comments where people were getting frustrated over not being able to tell the posters apart.
