this is so cliched but all that springs to mind when i think of dog!foggy (doggy?) is golden retriever. just a happy coincidence that golden retrievers (according to google at least) make up 15% of guide dogs. and (again according to google) their temperament is: reliable, friendly, kind, confident, trustworthy, intelligent. i think that all fits for foggy.

One of my friends suggested one of the big fluff monsters like a newfoundland and I can't help but think about going with a cross newfoundland/golden retriever (they're called golden newfie, ohmygod)
