*thank* you for saying that. I think this is the best way to deal with any 'my feelings are hurt' poststhat tend to clog kinkmemes. People need to grow a thicker skin instead of constantly hoping for sympathy.

I dunno, I found the above comment pretty...unhelpful. Like, if you can't say anything nice, better don't say anything.

And I find that sentiments like that allow for bad situations to get worse. This isn't primary school, it's a kink meme. People need to be told if their actions are causing problems.

Eh, dunno if this makes a difference, but I saw the comment being referred to and it wasn't on the meme, it was in namespace (AO3).

Guys... Both approaches are fine. It doesn't have to be one or the other. Different authors have different styles and are or aren't as confrontational or are more or less nervous about wank. So I think really the OP here could take whichever advice works for them.

I don't see the point in bashing one or the other approach. Both are valid. And I've seen both sometimes still lead to wank. So it's a personal choice and nice that we all gave this author advice to consider. It's not a competition.
