I like The Walking dead and i've watched the show since the beggining but for some reason it didnt happen like Daredevil that got me looking for fics and find this place.
I thik there are "crazy" die hard fans on every fandom, example, the "Once Upon A Time" that got crazy when they turned Emma into "dark" and the shippin wars between a femlash that will never happen. It's crazy. Some fans had attacked the writers and even some actors in conventions an i get that you love them but there is gotta be a point when you are like "dude, WTH i'm doing".
Anotehr example was the recent one regarding Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D where some fans were pretty hard on one producer for liking a post about the character that died (he deserved to die and he didnt, they brought him back as someting else) on the midseason finale.

About TWD i just know the ship about Daryl and Carol and i ship them too but i dont need the urge to see my fantasies about them fullfilled like it happens with DD.

It's crazy how fans oevrreact sometimes. If you are into fanfiction, it's all easy, you dont need to read a story about a ship you dont like, you simply ignore and move on but leave hatred and troll around, that's just childshish.
Or maybe i'm too old for that crap (sometimes i think I am; even for FF(i'm a 23 male)) and i just want to read about what i like and care

I ship Carol and Daryl too, because they're cute af (and it makes the most sense tbh. It's practically canon). But the fandom's fave pairings appear to be Rick/Daryl (wtf?) and Beth/Daryl (double-wtf???).

And there are people who call themselves Team Delusional who believe that Beth is coming back, and I just can't with their nonsense.

I have never, in all my years in fandom, been so turned off by romance stories. I just wanna read some nice gen fic about found families and relying on each other to survive and epic friendship and what it means to be human when the world goes to shit.

Tbh being a fic-lover in any fandom can be brutal if you're looking for gen. I'm grateful that DD fandom does still have a ton of good gen or BROTP-focused stories and writers. Everyone here is awesome.

But the rest of MCU fandom is the absolute WORST right now if you don't ship a pairing (and if you don't ship Stucky, it's better but still kind of a wasteland). I had to leave because nobody cared about genfic, or even about taking post-AOU canon seriously. And Ant-Man and Guardians are being almost entirely ignored and I strongly suspect it'd due to a lack of comfortable or obvious pairings.

I feel your pain.

SA - I meant to say obvious SLASH pairings. I think that Hope/Scott and Peter/Gamora just don't interest fans.

I read about the Daryl/Beth shippers and i mean they are one of the craziest and tbh i ener saw them as anything more than a big protective brothwr and a sister but ui kinda ship her with Carl (they could've been made a cute couple if Carl would've been older) as for the rest it all stays the same.
Lately teh Michione/Rick pairing is rising an that's anoehr one i preffer to be just friends. It's better that way.

The slow vurn they have with Carol and Daryl is killing me, sometimes i feel that they will never move on to something. I j ust hope the producers dont make someone declare his/her inconditional love to teh other to have him/her killed by the end of the episode.

I really cant say i know about Guardians or Antman cause the only movies i'd watched from Disney's MARVEL are Thor (the second one), Avengers, Avengers AOU, the other ones looks interesting but i never get to watch them and then i never do it so im not the best to judge that.

Michonne/Rick is a pairing I'd love as either romantic or just friends. They've got that same easy camaraderie as Carol and Daryl do (did). And he's got more chemistry with her than that woman from Alexandria whose husband was murdered by Rick. (Honestly, one or both of her kids are gonna die and she's going to hate him, I bet).

Oh god, you're making me feel ancient. (30 year old here)

I've been in various fandoms since I was in my early teens and this has been the way things are. There will always be people who lack the ability to just scroll past ships or fandoms without letting out some vitriol. Which is sad for other fans to put up with.

If you enjoy things, keep enjoying them. Don't let people ruin it for you because they're immature.

And yeah, it's a bummer when people can't just pass on by. I mean, I've got complaints, but it is what it is. Shipwars, wank and fans taking it too far go back to very beginnings of fandom. (Just watch any of the Trekkies documentaries if you don't believe that).
