i don't always listen to these guys while i'm writing (they're word-heavy so i have to be focussed enough to do both) but the front bottoms have been my inspo for pretty much every idea i've had for daredevil fic. it lends itself to slightly angstier stuff (angst is my absolute jam) two songs that basically shout "daredevil" at me every time i hear them are:

santa monica
"i wanna confess it in a whisper that's just loud enough to make out / i want you to listen from the kitchen to me confessing on the couch" (this song also has a chorus that's just "emotional baby boy, emotional man" repeated and that has matt written all over it)

lone star
"if you still believe in the lord above,
get on your hands and knees and pray for us
get on your hands and knees and pray for us

the past few months were pretty rough
a couple times, wished we both were dead
i never cried like that before,
i thought my eyes would pop out of my head
now just preparing for nightmares
years and years i do suppose
nothing feels alright now"

unsurprisingly they both remind me of nelson v murdock which is my fave episode of all time (so much angst so much crying)
