There are some MCU Foggy haters on Twitter and Facebook but not as many ime on tumblr. I don't hate Foggy super bad or anything, I just found him to be really annoying.
Problem is last time I said I didn't like Foggy I got harassed abt it on tumblr and I deleted my post. I don't think ppl like to say negative things abt him there because marvel fandom gets upset. I'm glad I can be honest here and not worry abt being scalped.

Start small!
Do a mini fill. Do lots of mini fills. Try to write in such a way that each fic you write has a higher word count than the last. (But don't over stress that, I over stressed that.)
That's what really helped me write the 10k+ fics I got. I have a lot of fics that never reached the 1k mark but that I wanted to be epics. Until I started small and just focused on short things.

I'm finally noticing some things in the series I didn't catch earlier:
1) Matt's abandonment issues manifest in so many ways through the series but it's so sad to see the way he assumes people are always ready to quit him, like his friendship isn't worth anything. For the longest time I couldn't figure out why he says 'Two' when Stick asks Matt if he has any friends, people he cares about. I was looking at Foggy, Karen, and Claire as Matt's people, and then I realised he tells Claire goodbye on the phone when he thinks he's about to die, and then leaves her a voicemail after things settle down, but Stick asks him when is [Claire] coming back to Matt's apartment and Matt says, 'Never.' Matt can't lie to Stick, he honestly believes Claire is done with him totally and completely. And this helps explain why Matt is so completely mute/hands off around Foggy once Foggy walks out on him in Nelson vs Murdock. Foggy seems a little more elastic in his attitude towards their argument (he says they're going through a very rough patch rather than saying they're over and he never wants to have anything to do with Matt) and Matt's the one who says 'I thought Nelson & Murdock were over'. Matt honestly thought they were done! Foggy must know about Matt's abandonment issues so Foggy's the one who makes the overture to fix things between them. For a little while, Matt must have thought he only had one real friend in the world: Karen.
2) In the comics Ben has a super close relationship to Daredevil. Ben's an investigator, a reporter, and a friend/confidante who shares investigative info with Matt/DD. Foggy was always Matt's friend, but Ben was the one who Matt talked to about the whole vigilante side of his life before Foggy ever found out. I was very upset to see Ben killed off in the series, but I've only just realised that the show is splitting up his character traits. Matt/DD will have Foggy to confide in now instead of Ben, and Ben's investigative intrepid reporter side was given to Karen. Ben grooms her for that on the show.
3)In the episode with Stick, there is some paralleling story points, even some very similar dialogue between Ben/Karen and Matt/Stick which (possibly) puts a slight spin on Stick's intentions towards Matt without actually saying anything. Matt asks Stick why he came back to NYC, break to a different scene of Ben telling Karen to be smarter, make good decision at the right time (like what Stick tells Matt when he's young), and that if anything happens to her it's on Ben, his responsibility, because he's the one who's teaching her. There're a lot of Karen and Matt parallels here like when one of the thugs has Karen against the wall and threatens to empty the mace into her face 'and burn your eyes out so you don't go snooping where you're not supposed to' which, hello, MATT. Lack of eyesight doesn't stop some people from trying to do what's right.
4) Although Foggy and Claire are both healer-support types (you know what I mean), they're both equally capable of beating the shit out of people with baseball bats to the head.

Yes, according to several sources, Stick is returning for three episodes "with a new mission that Matt wants no part of."
This does not bode well for Matt at all and probably will lead into the Iron Fist series.

What are people's favourite characters/runs/volumes/issues??? If someone asked you which comics they absolutely must read, what would you say? I usually base what I want to read off of what I hear other people talking about, so I thought I'd just...ask :3
Greg Rucka's two Punisher runs are top-notch, I really recommend them. Beautiful art (especially from Marco Checchetto) and the most sympathetic even while chilling portrayal of Frank Castle that I've read thus far. It delves really neatly into who Frank is and the wreckage he leaves behind in the leaves of others.

Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the second half of Waid's New York City-based run, and then when Matt moved to San Francisco of all places I just put the thing down, but the first arc tells really great stories and gives Matt and Foggy great friendship moments.

I would be down for a 616!Daredevil Kink Meme - part of the thing I dislike about the Marvel616 Kinkmeme is that they separated it into two separate memes, and there's a lot of DD comics fans here looking for that.

I dunno? I mean, I think the splitting into two didn't really help matters. it's a good idea, I haven't gotten blindsided by noncon browsing the gen 616 meme, but it sadly doesn't seem to work.

Honestly, with SPN actors, I kind of get the impression that they're all incredibly sick of the fandom, and I can't entirely blame them for that even if they're sometimes assholes about it.
