Re: Comic recs?

Greg Rucka's two Punisher runs are top-notch, I really recommend them. Beautiful art (especially from Marco Checchetto) and the most sympathetic even while chilling portrayal of Frank Castle that I've read thus far. It delves really neatly into who Frank is and the wreckage he leaves behind in the leaves of others.

When it comes to Daredevil himself, I recommend the first arc of Waid's run. It begins with Matt trying to fix his life and ends on a really great high note. This also includes the beginning of Foggy's cancer arc. It starts here: http://www.amazon.com/Daredevil-Vol-1-Mark-Waid/dp/0785152385

I like the very first arc because it gives Matt some sunshine back into his life. It's not a perfect story by any means but I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the second half of Waid's New York City-based run, and then when Matt moved to San Francisco of all places I just put the thing down, but the first arc tells really great stories and gives Matt and Foggy great friendship moments.
