I kind of hate the whole "stolen documents" deus ex machina of canon. From what little I understand of legal systems, that is ABSOLUTELY INADMISSABLE TO COURT YOU IDIOTS and also very much not "getting him the legal way". So I would like to avoid that, but it's a possibility.
On the other hand:
HELL YEAH, GETTING IN LEAGUE WITH KAREN!!
This is the opening I've been looking for: Matt might not have room for a yet another dynamic and relationship in our plots, but Karen does, and she also has a relation to Matt. I bet she would get on like a house on fire with Marci. The three of them would make a great team and could start a great friendship. And switching focus to them every now and then could give our readers some breathing room in all the angst and entanglements and backstories and emotions and depressive worldbuilding and angst.
So. Matt and Foggy aren't friends. But Foggy and Marci are friends, and now Foggy and Marci and Karen are friends, and Karen is not-enemies with Matt. Works for me :))
Re: PLOT - answer 2
