i am C A C K L I N G oh my gosh, slightly (read: rather) drunk matt murdock is handed a bowl of vanilla ice cream by foggy's mum or dad or idk even just foggy and if he weren't KIND OF DRUNK he'd just kind of smile sadly at it but all of the sudden it's just like...TOO MUCH so he puts it on the coffee table and is just like okay matt walk it off walk it off KEEP IT TOGETHER KEEP IT TOGETHER YOU CAN DO THIS WALK IT OFF MAN, WA L K I T O F F bc what else do you do with emotions except banish them to the pits of your soul and never let them see the light of day? is anyone else imagining beautiful man, UGLY CRIER charlie cox acting this out and weeping with joy?
anyway no yeah he totally gets outside right on track, the train is on the way to emotional constipation station, he's totally cramming every emotion down in to the deepest corner of himself while walking trenches in the nelson's backyard or w/e he is, bc i don't know what hell's kitchen is like or where in the world they are, and then FOGGY COMES AND MESSES EVERYTHING UP BY ASKING QUESTIONS
so like...yeah that definintly happens, it's just a general breakdown of matt being tired of having to live like this and not understanding why he doesn't want to and being so afraid that if he lets himself have it they'll take it away (this boy....this boy got emotionally attached to a man who AT VERY LEAST emotionally abused him, who with which you could definintly make an argument for physical abuse, who STILL LEFT HIM ALONE he couldn't live if something this nice left, too) and lbr it probably ends up with a hug and matt crying and eventually passing out, because that's the kind of sham i am.
also THE SHEETS, NOW AN IMPORTANT POINT IN MATT MURDOCK'S ORGIN STORY BY DECREE OF ME. they totally get sheets after matt says everything is fine 50 times foggy resorts to comparing sheets until finally they find a pair that matt's like...oh..no...these are nice... and foggy's like "fiNALLY GOD BLESS, MATT MURDOCK CAN FEEL COMFORT...i'm making you get the pink ones for all of the trouble u caused me" (he does not but he definintly thought about it) and the definintly, in celebration, both sit on the bed with beers and like the thing is
matt's never really thanked him for doing all of this for him?? so he gets a little emotional (matt is only emotional when there is alcohol bc at least he has something to blame) so he thanks him an apologizes for being difficult but thank you so much...foggy probably is all like "dude it's okay...you're my friend...i got u" cue matt murdock tearing up and smiling like, completely accepting it and realizing wow, stick was an asshole, i am keeping this, eff him.
