There's nothing wrong with the prompts at all. Speaking in the general sense, YKINMKATO obviously always applies. Speaking personally, I've got no problem with the slave prompts as they are - they're not something I seek out, but I will skim the fills on flatmeme occasionally.
The thing I DO side-eye is people claiming that such-and-such is a massive ~trend in this fandom when, honestly, it's just a kink held by a small group of fairly prolific writers on a kinkmeme that has already shed most of it's general audience. Which is not a bad thing! I think it's great that these authors have been able to bounce their ideas off of each other in this space as much as they have, it's kind of cool to watch.
Bottom line is I am all for people posting whatever the hell they want on the meme. The more the merrier! But calling slave fic a hallmark of DD fandom? Eh. For all that some people are having fun with it here, I've seen one slave fic on AO3 and nothing at all about it on Tumblr. Gotta keep things in perspective, guys.
(note: this kind of generalization happens everywhere. two people on tumblr make bratty posts about how they hate a character and suddenly THE FANDOM hates this character, everyone is just awful. it doesn't even matter what fandom it is, the same thing happens over and over again like clockwork.)
