I think that Matt might make a good organist. They are very common in Catholic churches, so he would certainly have access to an instrument and a teacher, and he would probably enjoy the natural surround-sound effect of having the pipes stationed in different places around the keyboards. There was also a real life blind Catholic organist/composer named Louis Vierne (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Vierne) who could be an interesting role model for him. (Fun fact: Vierne died at the organ during a concert, and because his foot fell on one of the pedals, it took a moment for people to realize that he wasn't still playing.)
