I don't think i've seen anyone do a really in depth examination of the incident that caused Matt to become daredevil. I mean it has so much angst potential, just Matt night after night hearing that girl crying, his desperate attempts to help her, his despair when he realizes the system has failed, and then the night where he finally snaps and puts a man in hospital (bear in mind its probably the first time he's ever really hurt someone), and then the fallout from that.
I mean it must have been a deeply traumatic experience, it deserves its own angst ridden fic.
