Mini Fill: Foggy is a criminal mastermind.

He (or she, no-one really knew) was called simply ‘M’.

M was a godsend to the criminal in a tight spot. No-one knew how to contact M, they contacted you. Usually an email or text, very occasionally a letter. M would often advice for a small fee. A 2% cut of a year’s profit, something like that. M’s advice was always worth it and only a fool ignored it.

M however had a few rules. You did not involve children in your operations; you did not sell drugs to children. You did not use excessive force. No violence for violence’s sake. M had once txt a mob boss that “if the only way you can destroy someone is physically then you are too weak to bother with”. Two weeks after that his wife had left him and taken the children, and there were rumours everywhere that maybe he was just a shade too chatty with the police. But the main rule. The one no-one ever broke, at least not twice, was that you never mess with the Daredevil. If he comes for you, just run. Because anyone who had accepted M’s help then made any kind of move against the Daredevil just… disappeared.

“You’re back early. Quiet night?” asked Foggy as Matt came in, pushing the mask off his face.

“Yeah,” said Matt sighing with frustration. “The bad guys just disappear as soon as I show up.”

Foggy snorted. “Try to sound sadder about not having to get into fights all the time, Matty. Maybe your reputation precedes you? That was the idea, right? To make them scared of ‘the devil’ so they’d behave?”

“I guess,” said Matt almost sadly. “It just feels like it’s not really me they’re scared of.”

“Maybe there’s some new criminal mastermind looking out for you,” joked Foggy with a grin.

Matt grinned back. “Maybe, hey as I’m back early wanna get Chinese food or something?”

“Why not?” countered Foggy as the text alert on his phone sounded. “Hang on, just gonna text back then I’m all yours.”

Matt frowned. “Who are you texting all the time these days?” he asked.

Foggy grin got wider. “Ah I am the new criminal mastermind of Hell’s kitchen, reminding all my minions to leave you alone so I can have a long overdue evening with my best friend and some sub-standard Chinese food.”

Matt laughed and threw a pillow at Foggy’s head. “I’m going to get changed, asshole.”

Matt left the room and Foggy turned his attention back to the txt he was sending.

”She has a sister who works for the bank. The sister will have the information you need to complete the heist without endangering anyone; also it will be much less likely to draw attention of law enforcement or the Daredevil. The sister has gambling debts. That’s your leverage – M”

Honestly, the things he did for Matt Murdock.
