Okay but what if it's Stick who adopts Matt so he can train him and then Matt's super happy and thinks Stick actually gives a shit about him. And at first it's hard for him to bond because of how important Jack was to him but he finally does and he calls Stick "Dad" one day and that's why Stick gives him back.
