Ok so people in Matt's life keep wanting him to get a dog. And they're well meaning, but it gets old, because Matt doesn't really click with dogs (doesn't hate them, just... Isn't a dog person.) He doesn't want to have to leave his dog in random places like he leaves his canes, and he doesn't feel like it would be a help in his life. But one night, after his usual daring-do, he finds a tiny ball of fluff and somehow ends up with a pet cat.
