So some guys plan A Very Bad Thing but worry that Daredevil will get in their way. Since he seems to be quite friendly with this law-firm they decide to kidnap one of them (the blind guy is strangely elusive so they have to take the other one), leave just enough of a trail to make it seem like slightly inept kidnappers did it and make certain that Daredevil will find him. Once he's found him Foggy is either hurt badly enough or trapped somehow that DD is distracted for so long that bad guys have time to do Very Bad Thing. People get severely injured or even killed in the process (I'd prefer it if it wasn't something like the destruction of half the city or anything of that scale but it can still be bad).
Cue: all the guilt. Foggy because Matt could have stopped this if he hadn't been so stupid to let himself get kidnapped Matt because they hurt Foggy + optional intensive soul-searching concerning the question what he'd have done if he'd known that he had had to choose between Foggy and a bunch of strangers.
Normally they support each other but considering the circumstances they are busy enough with their own issues so they need additional help from the other people in their lives: Foggy from Karen (who either just knows 'Daredevil was distracted because of me' or has been told the whole truth somewhen previously) and/or Marci. Matt from Claire and or/Father Lanton (and ugh...I really love Claire but their is hardly any fic involving Lanton out there and that needs to change so anybody including him will have my eternal love).
