Anons, what are your favorite Daredevil fics so far? Or, do you have any requests for anything in particular because you feel overwhelmed searching AO3 / the kmeme? This is the thread for all your DD fic needs!

This was the first one that popped into my head, I adore it so much: http://archiveofourown.org/works/3844489 because I am a sucker for Matt and Foggy focused genfic (and Foggy getting upset on Matt's behalf) and also for Matt's blindness having a frustrating impact on his life because sure he can sense shapes and heartbeats and he's a ninja but he is still blind.

As for what I'd want, more gen Matt and Foggy (yes I know this is a kink meme but I'm ace so I just adore them loving each other and being platonic bffs). Also I would kinda like to see some more stuff at L&Z, especially surrounding Matt and any way they reacted to and helped (or didn't) with his blindness.

Agreed. I can't really get behind any ships in this fandom besides the good ship Matt/Happiness, which I'd love to see more of. I prefer Matt and Foggy as epic best friends, so while I know fandom is usually all about the sex I'd love to see a lot more focusing on their friendship. College exploits, awkward adventures as interns, everyday drama as they are out and about in the city, whatever.

It's a whole series with a focus on Matt's senses, but there's some pretty great Foggy & Matt friendship bits in there related to how Foggy learns about/deals with Matt's heightened senses throughout their friendship. It also hits the note you mentioned about Matt's blindness being frustrating for him and times when his other senses don't really make up for it.

I want to rec Imprint which is eventually going to be a Steve/Matt/Bucky thing going by the tags, but what I like about it is how Matt's taking care of Bucky and the possibility of Bucky returning the favor. The way Matt has to word his requests is great and the fact that Bucky is as bad of taking care of himself as Matt is pretty good to.

Basically, Matt and Brett swap bodies for an afternoon and it's both hilarious and insightful, because we get to experience Matt's heightened senses via someone who's not used to them, and we get to experience Matt experiencing sight for the first time in over 20 years and how it's not actually a cool experience for him.

Ne Bis In Idem by PriscaMachado is amazing. It's still a WIP and updates pretty slowly, but it's incredibly well written. Synopsis is "The one in which the ‘world on fire’ slips from his grasp, and all that is left is the oblivion of darkness, silence and scattered thought." and it is every bit as intense as that implies. Read it, it's amazing and not getting anywhere near the comments and kudos that it deserves! (I'm hoping that getting more will lead to faster updates!!)

It's a WIP called Sunshine. It's a post-apocalyptic fic about Matt and Foggy trying to survive in a sort of environmentally devastated, alien invaded, zombie infested world (because the author couldn't pick just one, apparently). It's beautiful and absolutely heartbreaking, but I love it so much.

This one is the 2nd in a series, by the way. The first one is really good too (but a REALLY difficult subject. There were parts that I had to read through my fingers).
