Okay so there are like 4/5 rooms in this place how am i getting so confused about how it's set up????

There's a reception area (main room), 2 offices and a conference room. I'm pretty sure there's a little kitchenette too???
Matt's office is to the right of Karen's desk (facing the entrance) I think???
and the other rooms just don't even ask me.

can anyone help me figure this out???? (there are too many close ups and weird angles during the scenes in that space i swear to god)

i am so vexed by the layouts in this show honestly but here is my not-a-real-answer answer:

my fave part here is the 'conference room??? somewhere???? probably?????' because i feel that confusion with every part of my soul tbh.

although personally I thought that the kitchenette and the conference room were switched because i had this vague impression of someone in the kitchenette (making coffee?) and the door was to their left (camera near Karen's desk)

how are the gang dealing with their reality warping office and apartments tbh. this is like the staircases at hogwarts or something.

i know we've seen a conference room (which as best i can tell is just a multi-purpose room with a long table) but for all i know it could be anywhere.

actually tho, i think you're probably right?? karen made coffee for mrs cardenas (i think but i'm probably wrong tbh (she made it for someone and foggy hated it i know that much)) so switch those and we're totally right.... or we're totally wrong. it probably depends on the day. exactly like the hogwarts staircases.

now that i think about it the conference room probably doesn't exist at all and the gang is just mass-hallucinating (tainted water supply?? prolonged exposure to asbestos in the building?? magic?? who knows??) a room with a long table when the need arises. it almost makes more sense than trying to actually place it at this point tbh

the conference room is actually a room in one of the other office spaces that they just sneak into whenever they need it.

(It's not the conference room itself that confuses me its like... the size of each room?? they all look relatively big (especially matt's office?? like.. is that just cause they have barely any furniture or??)
or like each room seems to have completely different dimensions every time i look at them HOW BIG IS THIS PLACE??)

(you know the scene where they are looking up stuff for that case that weasly gave them and they are banging on the router, did that take place in the conference room?)

yeah the sizing gets me too but that's because sometimes i'm under the impression that it's pretty tiny but then most of the time it looks massive. maybe it is the lack of furniture that makes it look like that??

yep, that's the room i assume is the conference room too. i'm pretty sure anytime all three of them are sitting at the table working together it's in the conference room but i'm not 100% positive about it b/c i think the layout of the room they were all working in (w/ the router scene) is different to the room they take elena into to talk (i could just be misremembering tbh)

ok since it was bugging me i scanned through a couple episodes and by the looks of it my not-a-real-answer answer was right except for the kitchenette and conference room being switched which you were right about.

the room they're all working in when foggy asks karen to bang on the router/they're looking over wesley's stuff is the same room they take mrs cardenas into, so it all does happen in the conference room.

the real estate agent says it has "a reception area, a conference room and two offices" so if you add the kitchenette it's all there.

I'm working on a little floor plan right now but there's definitely 2 offices, a kitchenette with a door that leads possibly directly outside, and a conference room with four doors leading into it. THIS OFFICE MAKES NO SENSE.

not the op but the other anon here: your layout looks flawless + i love that none of us are 100% sure about the conference room aside from the fact that magic of some sort is involved

If this is right, I assume the conference room door goes back out into the hall. I've been to a bunch of offices in weird old buildings that have multiple entries to the same suite.

Oooooh, maybe the kitchenette is shared with the office next door? We haven't seen any evidence of that, but maybe it's vacant so they don't have immediate neighbors.

I think I nailed it more or less, I'm mostly confused by some door placements, but Istg i took a shitton of screenshots and examined them for two hours and either they have door leading into nowhere or an extra room (like a bathroom? that would make sense, to have a small bathroom near the kitchinette) that we haven't see

a bathroom!! i can't believe i didn't consider that, it makes a fair amount of sense.

the conference room and kitchenette are definitely where the confusion is. from what i can see there are three doors in the conference room. the one leading from the main/reception area, one that leads from the conference room into foggy's office and another on the opposite wall leading into what i assumed was the corridor but might be a bathroom/supply room etc etc.

i just re-watched the scene with elena at the office + when they're finished matt and foggy walk out the door that leads into the main room, karen follows a minute later but we don't see mrs cardenas leave, so i'm assuming that third door is just another lead into the hallway. maybe there are shared supply closets/bathrooms??? (i don't know how likely that would be???)

i can't find a scene in the kitchenette off the top of my head so that room still remains a mystery to me, i'm sticking with "weird magic office building" until i actually look at it lmao

The kitchinette is pretty well visible in the episode after Karen introduces Foggy to Ben (I don't remember the specific number tho >_<) and it's definitely on the left side from the entrance door.

But yeah I guess we'll have to put up with Matt & Foggy mysterious magical office because I can't see them showing us the whole thing in season two XD

ohmygod. OP here who never noticed the extra door but now that it's been pointed out im like OHMYGOD?? THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE???

*facepalms* of course there'd be a bathroom somewhere! There might be one down the hall that they share with the Atlas financial guys, or a small one in the offices (maybe between foggy's office and the conference room?) but any office needs a bathroom within easy reach SOMEWHERE. For OH&S purposes if nothing else.

I'm so glad u asked this bc I've been thinking the same thing (I basically posted on here like a week ago 'wtf is matts apartment')
