During Matt's 'death', Danny looks into the accident that took Matt's sight, and he is shocked to find that his company was responsible for it. Even though Matt isn't there, Danny tries to make up for the wrong that was done to Matt.

And then Matt comes back. He has no idea how to handle an Iron Fist going on a guilt world tour trip.
