I've got all sorts of medical interests and knowledge, so I got your back. I'm thinking leg as well, but if it's more of a crush injury, there is less chance of bleeding out. I'm also thinking that it happens as Matt, doing something Daredevily but not while in the suit. Then the biological evidence doesn't matter, although he will have to come up with one hell of an excuse for why he was doing something conceivably dangerous or in some sort of weird place. (I'm thinking car accident, but still unsure of details surrounding, so if you've got any ideas, let me know.)
