This post is for prompts involving characters from Netflix's Daredevil.

Now that The Defenders prompt post is live, all crossovers between anyone in the four individual shows should go over there. Prompts only including characters that appear in Daredevil should still go here.

Oh, and could you explain the Devouring a bit for me? I'm having a little trouble with the whole destruction of Matt's soul part. (How can he be Matt without Matt's soul?) The wiki talks about the possibility of the Horror being their true self all along but there's little information about it so I'm inclined to think it's more belief than truth.

Might have to change it drastically for the sake of the fusion.

Okay! I've gotten past my excitement and read a bit more, got a better (read: less blasphemous! :P) handle now (except for the souls part). Damn do I wish we could edit posts....

- Foggy has the ability to see Atavisms. I wonder: Do they show up on video, like with ghosts? Are they in full view, increasing how fearful the citizens are of him (and fueling the "Devil" moniker beyond just puns), or are they vague, glitchy impressions that only Foggy can identify as a concern?

- Foggy's Sight (and the increased violence) makes the post-Nobu meetup TERRIFYING. Matt is injured with very low Satiety and he's new to this Atavism stuff, so he's leaking creepy monsterbits everywhere!

- Since the Dark Mother stuff doesn't mesh with Christianity, I've been thinking about making it so Matt (and the rest of the Murdocks) don't know what this stuff actually is, so they're just going with the literal demonic explanation. Without his father to guide him, Matt is very much untrained. He has difficulty controlling his urges and often doesn't know what exactly is happening to him. Father Lantom is the only person he knows that knows anything about it, but even then, Lantom only knows a little from encountering hostile Beasts during his missionary work. I'm having Beasts be relatively rare here, enough so that this is Foggy's first experience with one, and that Hell's Kitchen doesn't immediately identify what he is. I'm looking at keeping the RPG terminology subtle. I do like meshing my crossovers as seamlessly and accessibly as possible-- And nebulous horror is the best horror imo-- but it depends on what you'd like.

- Perhaps Jack didn't want Matt to fight in the hopes that he'd never bring out his Horror???

- TOTALLY still doing the blood thing-- we gotta get that demonology in there somewhere-- but it's more of a need for his victims to pay a tangible price as part of their punishments. And, you know. I'm sure primordial horrors just enjoy bloodshed in general.

- The Chaste have sought to master Beasts as weapons against The Hand and their immortality and blood magics.

Melvin gets sick but refuses/can't afford to see a doctor. So Matt brings Claire to him.

SPOILERS FOR THE NEW DEFENDERS TRAILER (5/3)!!!!

So Alexandra,aka Sigourney Weaver, said, "The more connections you have, the easier it will be to break you." Obviously, she means the people they care about. And even more obviously, the Defenders aren't going to let anything happen to them.

So Foggy, Karen, Trish, Claire, and Ward are all taken to a secure place unknown to the Hand (let's say somewhere owned by the Chaste) to hide them until the Hand are dealt with once and for all. Most of them understand, but that still doesn't change the fact that they're stuck for hours, or even days, somewhere with nothing to do! Break out the Parcheesi board!

This is absolutely beautiful.

I'd love to read about Matt and Foggy being far from the city and familiar conveniences, out in the wild.
It could be AU with no powers, pre-Daredevilling time or if you could explain it even in-canon, but I want Matt to feel very insecure and anxious about the situation (I am just not sure it can be plausible with his extensive superpowers, but on the other hand, who knows, anxiety is a bitch).
At first Foggy doesn't realise it, but when he does he is really supportive :)
Slash is preferable, pre-slash or gen could work too.

For example, they go camping for a few days (somebody mentions it and they learn that Matt has never done it or something like this). Foggy loves this idea because he thinks that it will be fun and Matt must like it (no crowding people, quiet, nature, having a good time together), and Matt does want to spend time with Foggy, also he doesn't want to turn down the suggestion that he thinks most 'normal' people wouldn't turn down, because he wants to fit in.
At first Foggy doesn't notice his discomfort because Matt is always very badass and doesn't accept help, only this time Matt is really anxious for various reasons and tries to hide it. Maybe, he doesn't know what to expect of this situation, what exactly they will have to do, or he is worried what Foggy will think about him, maybe he faces some real difficulties like no reliable landmarks (a lot of identical trees idk?), uneven ground, or a huge body of water (I don't think he's got any experience with it), well actually anything you know about camping and wild nature will do :)
So Foggy who is used to confident self-sufficient Matt doesn't notice anything wrong/doesn't want to offend him with overprotection, then he might think that Matt is joking, but finally he understands the situation and feels guilty for making Matt feel that he couldn't say it. Lots of feelings, as you see :) And here come the comfort and happy ending :)
Whether Matt enjoys/is okay with the experience in the end or not is up to you.

It could be some other situation out in the wild, maybe they unexpectedly end up there with no means of communication, but you get the general idea!

Adventure, drama, humor (but not only humor, please) or hurt/comfort (my fav) are fine, and there must be a happy ending.

Bonus points for:
+ some awkwardness
+ details of the experience, like description of casual clothes, special gear, cooking, nature, insects or animals and so on
+ Matt being both badass and insecure :)
+ Matt and Foggy getting together

So straight out of the comics comes in Matt telling Jessica to stop talking cause he's her attorney.
Jessica tells him she already ahs one and comes in Foggy who Matt on his hurry to get to Jessica didnt "saw" coming...
Awkwardness ensures and Jessica is done with everything.

She'd totally take him under her wing. Guy has the skills...just not much fashion sense

When the Avengers are rooting out HYDRA agents from SHIELD-- And discovering all the secret labs they've been doing their unethical experiments in-- they are shocked to find that Daredevil, who seemed to have disappeared some time ago, has actually been prisoner to HYDRA all this time.

HYDRA captured him, discovered his blindness, and tried to isolate the root of his powers. When that avenue was exhausted, they decided to use him as a guinea pig for human experimentation. What this entails is up to you, so long as Matt is not quite himself afterwards, be it Winter Soldier-esque mental programming or something just this side of human. Or, if you love me very, very much, both.

So, hurt/comfort with a side of creepy, as the Avengers try to deal with a Daredevil that is both traumatised and a slight bit alien. Avengers POV preferred!

(Yes, yes, I just took a breather from reading Unsustainable by thegraytigress and I desperately need more of that creepy, creepy premise.)

I actually saw her reaction to it and her angry words to Matt as less her being certain he was cheating and more her just being fed up with his evasions in general. Probably she had reached the point where she couldn't trust in any explanation he could give her anyway, so any answer he gave couldn't clear him, and Even the possibility of him cheating was simply the last straw.

Frank meets and starts to date Karen. She's happy. He's happy. Only her blind boss seems to have an issue with it.

Of course so would Maria if she were aware of it.

Then it doesn't matter at all because she's dead.

Or: The one where married Frank Castle cheats on his wife and everything still goes to hell.

The called dick shots and alignment check made my day. Because I can totally see it.

Poor Frankie. He kind of walked into that, but still poor Frankie.

They told me you couldn't put poliamory inside the American dream. They were wrong!
Or, the one where newly married Peter and MJ (twenties) move into a house and next door are Frank and Maria who are like forty-ish and married for a long time and still in love.
The two couples are good friends and a then more...
Or, fix-it and fluffy polyamorous bisexual May-December porn.

...and one time he fooled someone completely.
Because, while I love my boy, he is without a doubt one of the worst liars I've ever seen. He seems to mostly manage to keep his secrets through everyone else's preconceived notions -since it's certainly not his nonexistent poker face doing the job.
+Not all of the secrets are about the super senses or Daredevil thing. Just mundane, everyday lies that he still can't pull off.
++His awful lying actually convinces someone/s that he can't possibly be doing something as illegal as vigilantism, since, blindness aside, he's obviously way too honest! He can't even lie about not drinking the last of the coffee, no way he'd manage to keep a secret identity!

It's a hot wet summer when the child comes.

Matt is screaming his heart out, and eventually (it's a long, long night) his daughter joins in. She's 3 pounds, 1 ounce, and he has her in his arms for a minute and 12 seconds.

"Isabel," Vanessa announces, holding the child just so. "What do you think?"

Fisk gazes down at his daughter. "Acceptable," is all he says, but Matt can hear his heartbeat. He's happy.

They take the child.

"Please," he calls out to them. "Please just let me – "

The door closes behind them.

Fisk scents him, and that's that.

Matt makes two mistakes that day at the prison, but he is so angry, and he feels so helpless, and emotions always make him reckless. So he goes to Fisk to find Frank, but ends up threatening him instead. He goes to Fisk to get back his control (his life is falling apart) but Fisk holds him by the neck and slams him into the table.

His adrenaline spikes.

"And I will dismantle the – " Fisk pauses. He stands completely still as Matt scrabbles at his jumpsuit, trying to get free of those impossibly strong hands. "You're an omega."

Matt is reckless. Matt has been stupid. Fisk leans in and breathes in deep.

"I know that scent."

Elektra is dead, Karen has had enough of him, and Foggy won't return his calls.

This is when Fisk strikes.

When it rains it pours, Matt thinks while tied up in the back of an SUV. He doesn't worry for himself much, even though Fisk and his men have figured out a way to incapacitate him ("Omegas are weak," Stick had said when Matt had presented. "I can't train a fucking omega."). He worries for Foggy and Karen – hopes that his stupid mistake won't be what gets them killed.

But it wasn't just Matt's gender that was revealed that day. Fisk had smelt that strange, citrus scent of omega that night with Nobu, but hadn't quite realized what he was smelling. Omegas were uncommon, after all.

"The Man in the Mask," Fisk says, looming over Matt who has been shoved to his knees. "I confess...that I once thought you were... disappointing."

Matt can't get a read on where he is. His head is still cloudy from the sedatives, and he's beginning to realize he's been given a cocktail of drugs because it's kicking in now. His heat....

The thought it unbearable, and he instinctively shies away when Fisk comes close.

"Blind," says Fisk, reaching out to touch Matt's face. "Enhanced hearing, yes, I suspected. Nobu was a quiet man."

Matt tries to tug his face away, and Fisk's fingertips bruise his jaw to keep him facing straight. He smells Fisk's arousal, and chokes down a sob.

"Remarkable. I never would have thought you could manage it, Mr. Murdock. Not blind or...gendered, as you are."

Fisk leans in and runs his nose down Matt's cheek, stopping at the crook of his neck. He does not kiss, nor does he bite.

Fisk does nothing, until he whispers, "I want you to meet Vanessa." His hands tighten on Matt's chin. "Without the mask."

She watches them fuck.

"I never did like nude artwork," she says. "As much as I love to examine interpretations of an artist's desire, I have always appreciated subtleness more. Symbolism. A man - or woman - writhing naked on silk sheets is... too obvious for me to appreciate."

She watches Matt fall apart, bare and hard and wet. Her hand moves between her legs.

"No less beautiful though," she ponders.

"Fuck me," Matt sobs, his hips lifting as he tries to catch Fisk's cock on his entrance. "God just fuck me."

"Wilson will take care of you," she tells him, her tone comforting. "He's going to give you a child, Matthew. He's going to come inside you. He will leave apart of himself deep, right – "

She reaches out and touches just below his belly button. Her hands are wet with her own arousal. "Here."

Fisk groans, suddenly desperate. He grabs at Matt's waist and lifts him. "Wait," Vanessa says, before Fisk can drive his cock into Matt's body. "Matthew? Matthew, do you want this?"

He sobs. No, no, no, no, yes, yes, yes.

"Do you want him inside of you?"

"Please stop," he begs her. "Just let him, just let him – "

She thinks about it for a moment, and they are suspended in time, Fisk panting and Matt leaking – opening for him with an ache that spreads up his abdomen and into his heart, where it stings in quiet despair.

Vanessa finally sits back and smiles. "Give him what he wants, Wilson," she commands.

And he obeys.

They lock him in the apartment to keep him safe, they say. They touch his growing belly and tell him that he must think of the child; of his baby that by the end of the nine months will no longer be his.

"You're so lucky," Vanessa tells him, her hand on his stomach. "It's so hard for us to have children, but for you and those of your gender it takes only one heat to make the child that Wilson and I tried for months to create. I envy you, Matthew."

Matt is their prisoner, but they like to pretend he's not. When he tries to escape, knowing that Fisk will not risk being rough with him to get him back, they so easily break his resolve by threatening his friends that Matt almost gives up hope. But he gathers strength. So long as his baby is within range of Fisk and Vanessa, Matt will not stop trying to break free.

Funny how he agrees with her to keep the child safe, but not about what its to be kept safe from.

"I don't like nude portraits," Vanessa sighs. She brushes a hand down Matt's naked flank. "But this one...this one will be a masterpiece."

They take his child and disappear.

Matt is dumped back where they found him. Back in a Hell's Kitchen that has suffered more than usual without the devil around. He can hear the sirens and the screaming and the pain (and it is so loud now, after the isolated silence of the apartment) but unlike before, Matt is able to ignore it. He does not care. He cannot care.

He has to find his baby.

The search ends in Paris, where Vanessa is waiting for him.

"It's such a shame," she tells him, her voice full of tears. "We only had three months with her. Just three. Losing a child...there are no words for it."

Matt punches her in the throat, and she goes down choking. He touches both sides of her face, and wrenches her neck sideways – cleanly breaking it and ending her life.

He feels no remorse. He feels only agony. Wrath. Hatred. His child was taken. His child is dead.

And the job's not done.

Fisk must not know about Vanessa yet, or perhaps building his empire is just that important. They are gathered to celebrate the election of the new D.A.; everyone who's anyone in Hell's Kitchen is there, sipping champagne and congratulating themselves on being loathsome human beings. Fisk is in the middle of a group of them, holding court as Vanessa's body decomposes somewhere in the Seine.

He's not the only one here for Fisk though. Foggy and Karen have come to the party, and Matt notices that they are with others too, like that Jessica Jones girl, as well as two men with strange heartbeats. Heroes, maybe (heroes always sound different). They hover around each other, their eyes on Fisk – trying hard to act casual.

He doesn't care what they're doing, because Matt has his own mission. He walks over to Fisk, body thrumming with adrenaline and anger. He scents the father of his child and his fury only rises. His steps quicken.

"Oh my god, Foggy!" he hears Karen say, her voice lowered. "It's Matt!"

"What? Are you – holy shit, holy shit." Foggy moves forward, but the Jones girl stops him.

"You're gonna blow the mission," she hisses.

"Fuck the mission, it's Matt! It's Matt, let me go – "

Matt reaches Fisk. "Excuse me," he says to the group, and they all turn and look at him. "Wilson. It's been a while."

"Mr. Murdock." There's anger there, so much anger. Fisk knows about Vanessa. "You look well."

"Wish I could say the same."

Fisk ignores his snark. Shoots back this: "Ah, yes, you might have heard about my recent loss."

"Terrible, terrible," one of his cronies mutters.

"I...struggle, each day, to continue my work, knowing that my wife and child cannot be by my side. But this city needs me...it needs – "

Matt lunges at him. He manages to knock the big man to the ground, then straddles him.

He remembers....

"Fuck, fuck, fuck." Riding Fisk to orgasm, his body full of seed. "Oh fuck..."

"Do you think you've caught?" Vanessa whispering in his ear, her hand on his navel. "Is it inside you, Matthew?"

Matt drives a knife through Fisk's eye. The people around them scream.

He remembers....

"Such artwork." Vanessa running a finger through his blood. "You are so very beautiful, Matthew."

Fisk reaches up to grab him.

Matt slits his throat.

He bathes in blood.

Frank makes a deal with the devil to get Maria and his children back. Ghost Rider Frank.

Is that a deal made with that strange demonic entity that made a home for itself in Helll's Kitchen, formerly known as Matthew Murdock?

Why not the Celtic gods too?

And why not have Matt be a result of some distant past (or not-so-distant) Celtic god/mortal hanky-panky?

And why not have the Celtic gods experience some sort of crisis and Matt's one of the few who can fix it?

All of which leaves Matt going "Why me...?" ("Are you sure I couldn't just punch it a few times in the face and call it a day? And couldn't I keep my armor ON? I'm not sure me being naked and covered in war paint is going to provide much protection..."
"Well, that sounds foolish. Why would you punch it when you're supposed to stab it with this dagger?")
