Maybe he nearly lost Foggy (he was in an accident, mugged, etc.) And Foggy was put on bed rest. Matt's been there at his side, watching over him while he's asleep.
Nearly losing his best friend (and the person he's secretly in love with) fucks with him. He wants to kiss Foggy so badly, and finds that this may be his only chance. He can steal a kiss from Foggy while he's sleeping, and that will be the end of it.
Because there's NO way Foggy would feel the same way about him right? There's NO way, he'd want to be awake, AND kiss Matt. Right....sneaking one little kiss shouldn't be so bad, Matt can just have this....just one kiss.
