Matt Murdock in college? He could have anyone he wanted. He knows just the right thing to say, how to read someone like a book, and he quietly enjoys the fact he's able to use his powers for himself, to make him and his partner feel good, even if the only (minor) disappointment is that he *knows* he could ask anyone out on a date and they'd say yes because he was drop dead gorgeous, not because they want to get to know him.

One night, drunk, Matt gives into his burgeoning feelings for Foggy and turns the old Murdock seduction technique to eleven.

It works, but Foggy still says no.

Matt asks repeatedly, trying to convince Foggy that they should date, and every time, its a gentle but clear refusal. Matt gradually becomes fixated on getting Foggy to say yes to a date (or even at this point a kiss because Matt's too far gone for this to be anything other than full scale adoration) which turns into a long declaration of intent through wooing, because no one had ever refused before and he can't understand why his friend won't date him. Foggy is definitely interested in pursuing a relationship (and had admitted as such) so why are they not exchanging flowers, pushing their beds together and having passionate vocal lawyer sex?
