Frank/Foggy baby in a dumpster

Okay, there's really not enough Frank/Foggy fic out there. So. How about post-season-two Foggy minding his own business one night when he comes across a fight. (Maybe he thinks it's Daredevil so he peeks but it's Punisher.) Turns out Frank's stopped a kidnapping, but he has no idea why they took this tiny baby or from who. Plot twist - one of the kidnappers has a badge! So cops can't be called yet, not until Brett's back from his plot-device week vacation, since he's the only one Foggy trusts.

Frank absolutely refuses to take care of the kid in the meantime, so Foggy takes it on. Cue Foggy's well-meaning misadventures tending to a kid, and Frank's reluctant 'you frigging idiot, have you never changed a diaper?' fatherdom creeping back over him. And both of them seeing each other in a new light, and eventually hot congrats sex because they kept the baby alive.

Bonus points for Matt's complete lack of presence except like the occasional care package of baby products left on the fire escape. Because you know he's spying.

OK I really appreciate that you include the detail of one of the kidnappers having a badge. I love sudden-baby!fics, but the lack of logic regarding why they didn't just do the legal thing and turn the child over to authorities is rarely discussed. Thank you so much.

I just got an image of Foggy using a spray bottle to clean the baby and when Frank walks in, he's horrified.

Foggy: Don't worry, I'm using warm water! And this way, the baby can't drown! :D :D :D

Accidental Baby Acquisition is the BEST and I love it in the context of Foggy/Frank, that can be nothing but hilarious!
