With training, Matt could probably do a lot, medically speaking. Like there are bees (and I think dogs too?) who are trained to sniff out certain sorts of cancer, and obviously Matt would hear any problems that affected the heartbeat. Give me anything where he uses his senses to diagnose somebody (other than himself). Maybe Claire convinces him to take some lessons from him so if he runs into anyone who's injured he can help them?
