Matt decides that Frank isn't really stable enough to be his partner. Also, how exactly this would work? Would the be a crime fighting couple? Would Frank (who would probably reject him anyway, right?) visit Matt every few days for a quicky between killing people? Let's face it- it just wouldn't work.
But It's not easy for Matt to keep it hidden. Unfortunately being bounded it's not only kisses and long walks on a beach (like in Foggy's fav rom coms), it's a biology thing. An instinct. So Matt suffers a bit (sexual frustration, maybe it starts his heats if anon goes for alpha/omega thing?). But he knows what it is so all in all he thinks he manages it quite well.
And Frank? Well he knows he gets easily distracted by Daredevil's tight pants but what's new in this? And he is more frustrated than usual. And aggressive. And maybe gets strangely overprotective when Daredevil is involved...
One day Matt and Frank snap and have sex (not very romantic, just a stress release thing) and Frank finally gets his head of his ass and realize what is what. And of course reacts the worse way possible so Matt is now 100% sure that he made right choice.
So Matt tries to get on with his life and Frank tries to forget about the whole mess in typical Frank's way but he just doesn't know how to forget about Matt now that he knows about their bound.
